Eva Mendes looking lovely with Ferragamo

That’s a lovely little pink frock that Eva Mendes has on right here, isn’t it? She and Nicolas Cage were spotted together at the Venice Film Festival, doing promotional work for their new film, “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.” All this film festival stuff looks like fun, doesn’t it?

Getting dolled up, having a professional do your makeup and hair, getting to wear a great bag like the Salvatore Ferragamo Gathered Leather Hobo, which she probably didn’t even pay for – sounds like she’s living the dream, right? Nic Cage kinda creeps me out, so I’d pass on that in favor of, oh, say Clive Owen, but the idea of the event in general sounds like a lot of fun. I bet they fed her, too. And I’m all about free food, almost as much as I’m all about free handbags.

I wonder why she didn’t carry something a little more dainty for this appearance, though – surely her handlers were there with her, and the task of carrying a star’s stuff usually falls to them when it’s time to go in front of the cameras, allowing the star to carry a demure little clutch like the ones that we normally see on red carpets. I can’t fault her for wanting to carry such a nice bag, though.
