I’d say that designers give them to her for publicity, but I can’t imagine anyone running out and buying a bag because Heidi M. had one. MK Olsen, yes. This girl, no.

I was one of the people who commented about how she gets all these fabulous bags, clothing, etc. and I still have no idea…especially to be able to afford a $22,500 bag?? I think Kate W. might be right…they probably have worked out deals with the tabs., because I doubt that all these designers are giving her free bags…I mean who is she!

Perplexing. I suppose the big hang up I have with her…dare I say style (eeeek) is that she seems to be a ‘label whore’. Her look always SCREAMS high end designer labels…it’s too much.

I can’t see designers giving her free or loaner bags on a regular basis (particularly upscale brands like hermes, chanel, balenciaga) mainly because she’s, well, kind of an icky person and the fact that she is carrying something does not make most people want to buy it. I don’t think she’s someone most people admire, think highly of, or want to be like (I pretty sure even my worst ex-boyfriend is an upgrade from Spencer!). While celebs like Beyonce, Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway, even some of her fellow stars on The Hills like LC, get many lovely free bags I’m sure, who wants Heidi publicity? However, Loquita might be right that she gets bags on loan from celebrity friends or stylists. The designer brands are probably annoyed when she carries one of their bags, they should serve her with injunctions from carrying them!

That’s certainly enough to afford quite a few pricey bags, considering there was 20 episodes in Season 4 alone.

ok so her and spencer both made like 75k per episode of the hills…plus everything they do with magazines and such makes them money so it’s perfectly reasonable for her to have a lot of cash to splurge on bags

Ya, I believe she is buying them! From what I read it said they make $65k per episode each, which is $130k a week during the Hills season. That would be plenty for some expensive bags.

Laura – I couldn’t agree with you more. Don’t get me wrong, I love high end pieces just as much if not more than the next person….but the way she puts it all together, it looks contrived.

Aside from the overflow of cash they receive from tabloids and the like + The Hills, I feel like she still gets money from her parents as well. Seeing as they are wealthy themselves…

Spencer’s dad is a dentist for rich people out there in LaLa Land. The kid hasn’t had to lift a finger his whole life. Not sure about Heidi, but since she “married” that fag, she has to be a dumbass.

if there were no Speidi on the show nobody would watch Hills…. admit it, they are annoying as hell but people watch for the drama. Boring LC who can only roll her eyes and granny-looking Lo, and even Audrina who keeps falling for same idiot again and again- cannot create drama on their own.
