I’m enjoying Hilary Duff’s participation in The Greatest Show of Our Time, Gossip Girl, but I’m not really sure that I understand or support what she’s doing in this outfit. Which is unfortunate, because she normally looks so adorable.
She wore this Herve Leger bandage dress to see the line’s Spring 2010 presentation in New York City in September, and while I understand that it’s kind of a thing to wear a designer’s work to their runway show, I think she could have chosen a better dress for her body. Hilary is quite petite in stature, and this dress would have looked better on someone taller – the dark color combined with the industrial-look banding overpower her frame. Also, I’m not sure I would have chosen this Goyard clutch to go with the dress – it goes well with her shoes (which also don’t go with the dress), but the pattern competes with the monochrome bandage pattern of the dress. The Duffster can do better.

yes, i agree her choice of a dress is unfortunate. us, petite girls, have to be careful choosing dresses that flatter our frame. i agree with felicia, she looks like she gained some weight- if you are that petite its bound to show, all of her recent photos prove that.

Goyard!!! I adore this clutch :) I love the juxtaposition of the simple, almost earthy wooden bar with the Escher-esque Goyard print. Ah, I could go on…

The design of the dress is pretty cool. I like the industrial looking banding.
