Jessica Alba shops for pumpkins with YSL

I’ve gotta say, I’m continually impressed by how much motherhood seems to agree with Jessica Alba. I never really pictured her as the type beforehand, what with all the scowling and irritation that used to characterize almost all the photos we used to see of her before the baby came. But now? She looks happy, radiant, all of those motherhood clichés. Could it be that they’re true?

It certainly looks like it might be from here. Jessica went to pick out a Halloween pumpkin with her daughter Honor recently, and she carried the very functional Yves Saint Laurent Besace Messenger to do it. I have such good memories of pumpkin carving from when I was small that I’m a little jealous of her bambino, and it’s also nice to see that she doesn’t farm out pumpkin-purchasing responsibilities to a nanny or assistant. But mostly, even though I’m not much of a Jessica Alba fan, a young celebrity with a healthy and happy life seems almost foreign in a culture filled with Lindsay Lohans and Britney Spearses. Good for Jessica!
