Confession: I’ve never read a single Harry Potter book. I’ve also never seen one of the movies in its entirety. I’m not sure why the fascination never hit me – I was in middle school when the books started coming out, I should have been at the ideal age for Pottermania. Yet still, no.
I do spend a lot of my time on the Internet, though, which caused me to find out that the new Harry Potter movie came out not long ago. As with all big movies, the premiere was heavily covered by paparazzi and the fashion choices of the stars have been picked about by judgey people like us. What’s different about Harry Potter, though, is that the writer gets almost as much attention as the actors. JK Rowling was spotted on the red carpet wearing a blue dress and carrying a metallic Marc Jacobs stud clutch to compliment it. The clutch isn’t my favorite, but I applaud her for rocking a young look in the accessories department.

I don’t like the outfit as a whole, I think the dress is a strange length and I don’t like the blue on blue, nor do i like the shinyness of the clutch, it seems kind of cheap to me.

The dress didn’t do anything for her. The CLs were great, just not paired with the lengthy dress.

She looks amazing. Finally, out with the vampires and in with the witches. I love the way her dress looks with her heels and the clutch is nice too.

I love her and her books! I like the top half of the dress with the clutch (I’m a huge fan of the clutch on it’s own!) and the earings and bracelet are nice but the bottom of the dress and the shoes just look way out of place to me. Pretty good for a children’s lit author though!

I’ve never read an HP book either, but that clutch is hot. Such a nice color of blue!

I think that it was too much blue for me…She needs to break it with a different color clutch…

Love the bag!! HATE the dress. So unflattering on her! No one that age should be showing that much cleavage… Too bony and not attractive at all. She could have looked a lot better in something form fitting with less showing up top.

Toooooo much blue. The bag is hot, the dress is not. I also have to admit, I’ve never seen any of the films or read any Harry Potter books

She deserves every bit of luxury she can get. I’d say she’s more than paid her dues! I’m not sure about the dress/clutch combo, but I also applaud her for being hip.

I don’t like the clutch and dress together. Similar blues but yet different–kind of clashy to me.
