Karl Lagerfeld Dabbles with Grey

Something that I completely respect? A distinct style. It’s something I don’t have because I like to try out new styles (but hey, I’m young, I still have time to find my distinctness), but it’s something Karl Lagerfeld does. Total black and white, the motocross gloves, the belt buckle, the hair. It’s all indisputably Karl.
Clearly this distinct style is what allowed him to design a Steiff teddy bear modeled after his own likeness- just an interesting little tidbit. But here he’s strayed from his normal black-and-white only attire to switch it up with some light grey. It looks good; even those with such a distinct style that a teddy bear can emulate it need to experiment a bit. Baby steps, baby steps.
It also looks like he’s experimenting with silver and gold together, which I have never seen in a Chanel bag (but that could be interesting…). I’m referring to his largely silver accessories, namely his belt buckle and gloves, combined with his exotic black clutch with gold hardware. From the bit we can see of the clutch, it looks to be simple and minimalist- so Karl. Can you ID it?

I agree. Just as a side note, does the extra tall, heavy starched collar look uncomfortable and awkward to anyone else? I think it would drive me crazy!

I like the gray! Yeah the collar looks awkward to me too haha but only Lagerfield can get away with something like that. : )

Karl Lagerfeld rocks! I hadn’t heard about the bear, but I checked it out and it’s adorable…a little too pricey though! Can’t imagine anyone actually buying it. Not used to seeing Karl in grey, but he definitely rocks it! I’m not sure about the clutch, but I do think it would be interesting for Chanel to create a bag with both silver and gold hardware..it would probably look hot!

Karl, the genius behind such awesome designs from Chanel. He always rocks! And no, the gloves DO NOT need to go. He’s the only one that can rock those gloves, don’t be jealous. :)
