Karl Lagerfeld hides behind a camera

Oh man. Karl Lagerfeld is in some hot water folks. I know we don’t cover the man behind Chanel all the time, but we certainly cover celebs who love and carry Chanel all the time. While Karl is known as a man of few words, I’d suggest he choose them wisely next time he decides to talk. You might not have heard this, but earlier in the year Karl was heard saying Heidi Klum is too fat to model. And then in the next breath he went on to make fun of Heidi’s husband, Seal and his appearance. I realize Karl is the king of Chanel, but that gives him no right to bash people. Oh and one more thing, dear Karl has no desire to make clothing in larger sizes because he says, “Nobody wants to see a round woman”. I’m putting Karl on time out.
Personally, I think Heidi is absolutely gorgeous. In fact, she becomes more beautiful with each passing year. I wonder if Lily Allen, Lagerfeld’s recent muse thinks of all this. Well, no matter what, when dressed in Chanel, Lily is certainly a perfect choice for the new face of Chanel.
Pictured here, Lagerfeld spends quite a bit of time behind the camera. I wonder if that is how he finds himself inspired lately. When not behind the camera, he is strolling the street with super model Claudia Schiffer. It looks like these photographs were taken while the two were in Argentina for an upcoming shoot. Karl’s look is excentric, as always, and Claudia looks pretty good. Although, I am not loving the tights and boots.

Karl is certainly a jerk, his behavior has put me off on the brand. I used to dream of one day owning a Chanel handbag but now I’m not so sure. Heidi is a knock out no matter what Karl says, and Lily lost a lot of weight before getting the gig.

I have to agree… I have been quite disappointed with him since all of those comments were made. I know we are all supposed to kowtow to him, but has he looked in the mirror?? Although he’s literally the king of fashion, I see nothing perfect about his appearance, hair, and beer-gut….

Uh Karl’s comments are coming from a man who has tons of wrinkles on his face, a HUGE paunch, and pants so ill-fit that you can see the freaking shape of his crotch through his pants. And don’t even get me started on the wiry hair that is neither here nor there – not touseled enough to be carefree, yet not neat enough to be sleek.
Ya know what Karl? Before you call a supermodel fat, check your fat old ass in the mirror. Now go for some liposuction and some botox, and while you’re at it, update your dress size – obviously you’re still under the illusion that you’re still wearing the same pants size that you wore when you were 30. And oh yeah, do the hair – wiry hair with no sense of style direction is so not the look this season, or any season for that matter.
And a little fashion tip, Mr I’m-fat-but-it’s-ok-cause-I’m-a-guy-not-a-girl – horizontal stripes just make you look wider, and thus fatter. But don’t say its the shirt that’s making you look fat. Your paunch is casting a shadow over your shoes.

Wow. Not only is his paunch obvious in all of these pictures but has he checked who wears his bags lately… let’s not isolate an entire demographic. Chanel was never my favorite and this comment seals the deal.

I, too, dreamed of owning a classic Chanel handbag. His comments haven’t turned me off of the brand, but they did make me see him in a different light. He’s an a$$.
With that being said, I just think of CoCo when I dream of having my Chanel.

Actually, that MYTH has been debunked. Those comments were falsely attributed to Karl Lagerfeld and actually are the words of another German fashion designer, Wolfgang Joop. Please don’t falsely attribute comments to the man. He’s already had enough trouble in the fact that his own line never took off like those of his contemporaries (Yves Saint Laurent for instance). Karl’s not my favorite person in the world for many of his comments on body image, but all in all, my point is, it was Joop who dissed Heidi.

Wow I had not heard this but that is amazing. I understand that he is around models and the modeling world but that does not give him reason to bash anyone esp Klum, who is amazing looking. She is stunning and has 4 kids. To also bash Seal is awful esp because the scares he has are do to war. If he has personal issues with them he should keep them personal, with culture would.
As to having issue with large people that is rude. I am sure that is idea of heavy is very different then most, exp Hedi. I am also sure that many of his cliental are quite large.
All in all very tacky for a man that represents such an elegant company.

Evil Uncle Karl is developing a nice FUPA. He better start learning from his models and purge, purge, purge his next few meals. Of course, it could be the same problems that large snakes have — unhinge the jaw and take in a large meal, after which, there is a bulge for a bit, but the gastric juices and evil sauces thin it down after a few hours. Or, he just has gas. Don’t like him.

MAGGIE, I don’t know where you got your info but Karl clearly did NOT bash Heidi. Just do a google search.
