I realize that I should probably cut Kate Gosselin a bit of slack, but I can’t help myself. With all of the press and exposure she receives, would it kill her to look in a mirror from time to time. Sure, she wears some decent stuff from time to time, but other than that, I feel like I should recommend her for What Not to Wear (not that she needs any more handouts).
Anyways, Kate is pictured here after a mani and a pedi. It’s nice to see that a mom of 8 kids can still find time for herself (please note the sarcasm here, for having 8 kids, this woman gets a heck of a lot of pampering). She’s carrying a tote from Target. Yes, people, a Target by Merona handbag. I love collaborations that Target has done in the past, but I have to say this bag is a total disgrace. I really don’t like it at all, but hey that is just me.
Now that she and Jon are donzo, what do you think is going to happen next? Are there 15 minutes of fame up yet?

Sorry Shannon, but don’t you think you’re contradicting yourself a little bit? First you ask if it would kill Kate Gosselin to look in a mirror and pay more attention to what she wears, then you attack her for taking herself out for manis and pedis. Kate is no movie star. She has no reason to have to dress herself up for the paparazzi who stalk her every time she leaves the house. And you don’t know that she’s doing anything out of the norm now just because she’s being photographed everywhere. Going to get manis and pedis might be her regular routine, something familiar that she had from before these crazy days. Just because she’s making oodles of money from the show doesn’t mean that she has to impress anyone by wearing fancy clothes. I really think that this family should be left alone and I want to express my disappointment that Kate is featured on BagThatStyle.

I echo your sentiments exactly, Ingrid. This is a mom of eight who deserves to be left alone. She’s not a celebrity, she’s just on television. Big difference. She has a right to get a mani/pedi (as I do every month or so and I only have two kids). BTW, what’s wrong with her bag? It’s a straw bag. I happen to take very casual bags when I go to the salon in case someone accidentally drops chemicals on it as it happened to a poor woman at my salon about a year ago (acetone on her lovely black Dior bag). It Kate (who is not a celebrity whether the press gets the memo or not) is going to be featured here to simply rag on her mom style, that’s a bit nonsensical and, frankly, irritating.

I think Kate usually wears rather odd outfits. She should probably hire a stylist.
I would absolutely hate to be photographed every day going to do misc errands. But Kate choose to be on TV and this is the life that comes along with the fame that she made the ACTIVE decision to be part of.
The Target bag is not awful, I actually dislike her Brighton bag more

At least she’s wearing a hat which is covering that ghastly hairdo! Maybe she’s growing it out!? Dare we hope?
I agree that Kate put herself in the spotlight, and if she wanted out, she would have chosen not to renew her contract. The minute the paparazzi start leaving her alone is the minute when people start losing interest in her….which wouldn’t be good for her show….which wouldn’t be good for the advertisers…etc. etc.
That said, I sort of feel bad for her. She’s pretty, and capable, and spirited. She would do well on What Not to Wear. Someone should apply on her behalf!

This outfit isn’t that bad. I only watched the show a couple of times and then I didn’t like her but now that Jon is letting his crazy show I feel bad for her. And I believe that their 15 minutes is just beginning. Being good parents isn’t as attention-grabbing as being a messed-up family.

The second she decided to exploit herself and her children it became fair game to talk about her or her husband or her kids. Afterall, isnt that what she signed up for? So we could all be a part of her everyday life? Your all correct in saying she’s not really a celebrity. But she sures wants to be treated as such. And even with her children suffering through what will probably be a nasty divorce she stills wants to go on with the show. In my opinion, shannon took it to easy on her.

I also dont get why she needs to be on this page…. I thought we would be discussing style, and her Target bag is hardly a great topic. I am also disappointed to see that someone like Kate Beckinsale only has one topic- and I am sure you can find more great photos of hers with interesting bags, while this nobody has 3!
