Katherine Heigl Gets Wild

In her choice of bag, I mean. By no means is Katherine Heigl a crazily over-partied socialite who only lives by the flashes of the shutterbugs… at least, as far as I know. No, to me and to countless other fans she’s just a talented, relatable actress and a new mom- who, by the way, looks fabulous, even in jeans and a baseball cap at a supermarket.

It’s Katherine’s choice of bag which pops out of this completely ordinary outfit. I’d wear Katherine’s outfit were I to pop over to a sporting event or attend a little picnic (erm.. that would be an indoor picnic, since it’s pretty chilly over on the East Coast), but the leopard-print, shiny patent leather drawstring bag stands out just a little.

Although her outfit may seem a bit disjoint, I kind of like it. It would be too easy to throw a simple, one tone leather bag or canvas carrier over the shoulder and look put together but, well, a tad bit bland. The bag adds adds a bitsy element of excitement to the clothes, and on that note, can anyone ID this wild patent purse?
