One of my top 5 favorite looks from the 2009 Emmy Awards last night went to Leighton Meester. She appeared on the red carpet and was a vision of perfection. Her hair was done up in a loose tasseled finish which went perfectly with her Bottega Veneta ensemble, Roger Vivier shoes, and Cathy Waterman jewels.
Her Bottega Veneta Bianco Chiffon Evening Gown was effortless perfect. Perfectly matched to her rouge lips, Meester offset the white gown with the Bottega Veneta Carminio Crocodile Knot Clutch. Everything about this ensemble is so spot on that I could continue to go on and on about it. Instead I am sitting here staring at perfection. Her stylist needs a raise and also I would like to give him my number.
Bottega Veneta is a go-to choice for timeless elegance and Meester shows us why. It is not a brand that can only be worn by certain ages, but it is a brand that radiates when styled properly as the apparel speaks for itself and the accessories offer touches of finalized perfection.

her look is great except for those shoulder bubbles… they annoy me to no end. I saw a green version of this dress on Miroslava Duma, on Purseblog forum, and it looked just as weird…. What is the purpose of shoulder bubbles???

She looks AMAZING! The dress is beautiful and a bit risky, I really like it on her. She always looks beautiful on the red carpet and she always stands out! And this Bottega Veneta clutch is AMAZING. I thought I had seen the most beautiful Bottega Veneta clutch when I saw the one she carried at the MTV VMAs but I was wrong, this is even more beautiful. And those earrings!
Logan Horne (her stylist) always does an excellent job with her red carpet looks (and other public apperances as well).

I think she looks very sophisiticated. Her look is very timeless and she looks very grown up from the gal we see on T.V. I love the red lip- its so old Hollywood. The one complaint I have is that the dress looks like its made of poor quality. The should knots are very edgy and beautiful but if you look closely in the last picture you can see quite a bit of lose thread…??

Whoops. I meant to say that the shoulder knots are exceptionally beautiful, but the workmanship is questionable.

I love the red accents from Leighton’s lipstick and clutch to the white gown but have to agree with the first poster and say the part of her gown I’m not loving are the poofy shoulder portions that make the dress look weird.

I am also not a fan of the shoulder knots. They look alright from the front, but from that side angle, they look ridiculous. Like she’s wearing an inter-galactic dress and she stole those knots from Princess Leia.

Leighton Meester was a vision at the Emmys! I think she looked gorgeous in Bottega Veneta.

Wow….Leighton looked absolutely gorgeous in her Bottega Veneta gown! I agree that her gown, hair and red lips were a perfect fit…very old hollywood and classic! I’m not really sure as to what everyone else wore, but I would think that this must have been one of the best looks of the night!

I don’t care for the shoulders, but I love the BV bag. That is the best part of her outfit…

im glad im not the only one who didnt care for shoulder things (i was starting to think i missed out on the new fashion statement:) – in the last pic they look a tiny bit like wings…. but, honestly, if they wanted “angelic” look with wings they could have made them more ethereal rather than “cotton ball” looking!

I think that she would look better in a different color than white, and that her makeup is a little heavy. But she still looks gorgeous

I have to say – I agree with the others about those knots – the dress would be GORGEOUS with out them – there is enough interest in the skirt’s layers. The knots are just distracting!
I think she has looked MUCH better – the pictures look good, until I enlarge them. For some reason, she looks moon-faced to me. I think less makeup on the eyes and a bit more subtle contouring would have worked much better. I love the lips! But…with those lips, a smokey eye is just too much – especially for someone that young – it ages her, and not in a good way.

I demand this woman to become the next model/face/spokesmodel (whatevs) for Bottega Veneta! This woman knows how to rock BV and look hot in it, too. Stunning dress, beautiful woman, and a gorgeous clutch to boot. Perfection indeed. <3

I absolutely love this dress. The Grecian cut makes her look like a goddess and the crisp white color of the gown just amplifies the effect. I also love that she paired the frock with red lips for an elegant, siren-esque look! Leighton rules!

I love the fact that LM goes from fashion risk-taker to sophisticated lady to full-on glamour always holding her own with aplomb.

Bl-eighton looks so classy and glamorous. Although she looks like a goddess, I can’t help but think of Blair everytime I see her even if she’s not in character.

I love her accessories…the bangles and clutch are so pretty with the dress. The shoulder knots seem giant next to her head.

This dress definitely suits her personal style, though I don’t know what to make of the shoulder straps. The red BV clutch adds a pop of needed color to her outfit.

I absolutely love the whole combination ! first of all people here that are criticizing this outfit are not doing it in a professional aspect.
Do you People really think that a crew of super creative ppl that works for “the Bottega Veneta creation department” will do any wrong !?!? NOT !
Its like looking at a Salvadore Dali paintings, not every body loves them nor hate them, yet pro’s admire him .. Well this is the same ..
Last but not least .. Her Knot Clutch is definitely on my wish list ..
