Leighton Meester stuns with Bottega Veneta

Leighton Meester VMAs You will hear all of us on Bag that Style (as well as Purse Blog) go ga-ga for Gossip Girl. We all are practically obsessed. I simply love the drama. What better way to end your Monday night than with some hoity-toity Upper East Side drama mixed in with fabulous clothing and accessories? I mean, really? Now that you all know how we spend our Monday nights we can move along.

On Sunday night Leighton Meester attended the MTV Video Music Awards and this time it had nothing to do with Gossip Girl. Leighton was actually up for an award, yes, she sings. While her tunes are not my favorite, they did make it onto my iPod. Leighton looked absolutely radiant from head to foot. In fact, I would deem her THE best dressed of the night. Leighton Meester wore a Christian Cota sequin petal sleeve shift dress from Christian Cota’s F/W 2009 collection. She accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Cathy Waterman jewelry, and the Bottega Veneta Nero Galuchat Knot Clutch (which I am obsessed with in all kinds of ways).

I think everything about this outfit is spot on. Spot on with a big ole exclamation point. She looked young, fresh, and radiant. I love the metallic sheen of the dress. Her Zanotti shoes were fierce. And then her Bottega Veneta clutch, ahhhhh! Let me just say, if Santa is reading this post I am telling him two things: 1) I was nice this year 2) I want this clutch.

I think everything looks really nice on her. I think that I would much prefer the clutch if it was a bit larger…what would actually fit into something that small?

Wow, she looks fantastic here! Love here hair and makeup. The clutch is absolutely gorgeous, but I do agree that it could be a bit bigger. You might fit a credit card in there and maybe a tube of lipstick…

Leighton Meester looked fabulous at the VMAs! Of course she looks good in just about everything she wears, but I especially liked this dress! I really loved her clutch as well…all the stud accents…gorgeous! Her hair and makeup was all gorgeous. The one thing I wasn’t that keen on where the shoes…they’re a little strange looking, but she pulled them off well. Also, I’m not sure who the guy is that’s with her, but he’s hot!!

I have to agree with everyone – Leighton looks fantastic! The clutch is gorgeous as well, but I too can’t imagine what would fit in there other than a lipstick and some bobby pins. Then again, it’s so pretty that she probably chose it just because!

Leighton looks FANTASTIC! Except the shoes, they are kinda awful. It would have looked so much better with a pair of silver Louboutins. But she rocked the VMAs anyway! I love the clutch.

The clutch can fit cell phone, lip gloss, CCs, and some other small goods. It is actually VERY roomy for the size.

Love the clutch! Not a fan of her shoes though. Her make up also looks a bit…dirty. I guess from the sweat? But other than that, she looks great!

She is absolutely stunning. Her makeup, dress and especially that clutch.. she totally deserves to be on top of the best dressed list. That BV clutch is to die for. The details and beauty of the Knot clutch is absolutely stunning. She is a very lucky lady to carry it, even if it’s for that one night. Anything BV makes, turns to gold. Almost. I love BV.
