Mandy Moore is hip with Alexander Wang

I have a bit of sympathy for Mandy Moore. Not for anything pertaining to her looks or her career – she’s obviously beautiful and talented – but because she and I have the unfortunate commonality of having the same taste in men. We like hipsters, musicians, and creative types with bad-boy reputations and “quirky personalities,” which is the charitable way of saying that we like complete a-holes, as long as they can play the guitar.

We also have somewhat similar taste in bags, even if hers is not my favorite version of the Alexander Wang Donna Hobo. I prefer the solid black, and hers has the acid-washed effect that I’m not entirely sure I like. Other things that I’m not entirely sure I like: her outfit, or at least how it fits her. She’s a beautiful girl, there’s no need for ill-fitting clothing. There’s also no need to date such preposterous men, but both of us seems to do it anyway (she even married one!), so I can sympathize with her a little bit.
