Mixing High and Low: Leighton Meester, Jimmy Choo, and Scrubs

One of my favorite things to read about is how celebs mix high and low fashion. Kate Moss is the queen of this, but it looks like Leighton Meester has been taking notes. Unlike her Gossip Girl character, Leighton doesn’t stick to only high fashion.

Here, she carries the fabulously tribal Jimmy Choo Kaja Bag with a simple tee shirt and what appears to be scrub-style shorts. And you can’t get much lower than clothing that is designed to withstand blood splatters. Obviously, her shorts are not scrubs, but still.

Leighton pulls of this style like a pro, wearing a totally casual outfit with a high-designer bag. The only thing that gives away her celebrity is (besides her noticeable face) her massive Chloe Tilia Sunglasses. Sure, us non-celebs wear gigantic sunnies too, but celebs really need them. Apparently it protects against the paparazzi’s constant camera flashes. But Leighton’s outfit, despite the sunnies, looks like something any really stylish non-celeb would wear.
