Or at least, they can carry fun bags. Case in point: here Julianne Moore, otherwise known as a serious actress extraordinaire, is carrying a magenta leather bag that is anything but serious. But before I go on, I’ve got to mention that she lent her voice to the super movie Eagle Eye, where she played Ariia, a top-secret, all-knowing supercomputer.
Julianne’s outfit, come to think of it, is exactly the opposite of boring. Birkenstock sandals, relaxed boyfriend jeans, and a plaid shirt. Actually, this outfit is pretty much the pinnacle of laid-back.
The bag is the only part of her ensemble that takes away from the country-lumberjack look, so it’s kind of eating at me that I can’t ID it. And I can’t forget it, because that hot pink color is so there- but it’s not overly in-your-face, which makes me partial to it, even though I’m not a pink person in the least. So can you ID this fuchsia tote.

Doesn’t MbMJ have a color similar to this? I don’t recognize the shape bag but I know I’ve seen this color somewhere.

I’m not sure who the bag is by, but I love the color! It’s nice to see a more mature woman wearing such a bright, fun color! I feel like when women reach a certain age, they don’t take risks like this and they should!

I’m not sure who the bag is either but I do really like it, just not with that outfit. I think from the knees down she gets a fail but am definitly digging the plaid in general.

It’s probably just me who likes the whole outfit, but I really really like laid-off getups and especially adore plaid. She wears cuffed boyfriend jeans fine, because her legs are long enough (there’re people with shorter legs in proportion and look awful with cuffed jeans). Birkenstocks are the shoes I always reach for when I’m having a dreadful morning but do not want to look too much of a slob.
Similar/same violet as MbMJ bags and it’s LOVELY.

“Laid back getups”, not “laid off getups”. Oh my, what an error. :x

I am not familiar with the bag either, but I agree that is a truly fabulous color and it’s so refreshing to see a bag that not everyone and the dog is carrying! It really does look nice on her, it pairs very nicely with her red hair! And I completely agree with Denise that is so lovely to see a mature woman rocking such a vibrant color! She looks great!

I like her whole outfit. She does not look like a lumberjack. The bag is fun and poppy, and it does look nice next to her bright hair.

I usually carry neutral colored bags, but the more I see of these gorgeous colors, the more I think a nice bright bag will be added to my collection!

There seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the outfit and the bag for sure.

Looks like Tod’s Bauletto “Helmut” Tote – larger size than Gwyneth Paltrow carried and in the leather version.
