Sex and the City takes a time warp back to the 80s!

I’m a Sex and the City obsessive, and when I’m honest with myself, even I didn’t love the first SATC movie all that much (I thought the consumerism was too shlocky – the whole thing about girl coming to NYC looking for “brands?” WTF?), so I was a bit dismayed when I first heard that they were making another one. I thought, why take something that had a lovely, safe place in the annals of pop culture and beat it into the ground for every cent it’s worth? It didn’t make sense.

But with every photo set that I see from the movie, I’m more optimistic. The pièce de résistance? More evidence of the 80s flashback that we heard about before, this time with even more splendid costumes! They’re 80s-tastic! And God bless Kim Cattrall, who is approximately 97 years old and still looking like the cock of the walk in a pair of pants (or are they leggings?) with sheer insets all the way down the sides.
