Whitney Port for her line Whitney Eve

Is it just me or does it seem like so many girls from The Hills find it necessary to start their own clothing lines? I remember watching the beginning episodes of The Hills way back when and there was an obvious interest in fashion. Perhaps it was because these reality stars get paid so much per episode they just end up spending it all on handbags, clothes and shoes that they began thinking they could actually design something too. I’m not trying to knock Lauren Conrad or Whitney Port, I am just curious.

We all know that Lauren Conrad launched her line a couple seasons ago and it has now been picked up by Kohls. The latest starlight to follow in her footsteps is Whitney Port. She’s pictured here both backstage at her fashion show as well as chatting with Kelly Cutrone, owner of People’s Revolution. I would have thought that the filming would be for The City, but I read that it is actually for Kelly’s new reality show. Have any of you heard any rumblings about that? Either way, Kelly should have got the memo that socks and those kind of sandals are *not* fashionable.
