Jessica Alba carries Jimmy Choo and wears some sort of crazy plaid romper

I’ve seen Jessica Alba look both utterly gorgeous and totally drab, so it’s difficult for me to evaluate how successful or unsuccessful her outfit is in any particular picture. On the one hand, I’ve probably seen her look better. On the other hand, I’ve almost always seen her look worse.
That’s exactly where I am on these pictures – I like the idea of her plaid romper, but I don’t like that it’s a romper or that she has styled it as a shapeless sack. I would prefer that it was a shirtdress instead and that she took the ten seconds to tie the little belt in its proper place, but I don’t think that it’s a total fail. Wait, is that even a belt, or is it just a wonky seam? I better stop looking, the garment is getting worse by the second.
As far as accessories go, tough boots are totally in right now and I’ve always had a soft spot for rain boots, so I don’t mind that she’s emphasizing function over fashion. I don’t care for her Jimmy Choo Triange Stud Tote either – the embellishment looks kid of cheap.

It’s not a belt, it’s a curved seam. And the boots are Prada.

The waist is weird, the fact that it is a romper is horrible, and the top and bottom don’t match well. I don’t understand the leg cuffs connected to the boots either.

Seriously, you’d think a woman as beautiful as Jessica Alba could learn how to dress herself. It looks like she forgot to get dressed and is wearing her flannel jammies outdoors. I’m not bashing the casual look, if you need to wear some sweats sometimes …. that’s ok, let’s just be real about it. Let’s not dress it up with some tights and pretend it’s the style. I am betting those boots didn’t come cheap, but they sure do look utterly bizarre. Almost like she’s an astronaut who is going to take flight and float out of her boots so they require that weird calf strap. The boots are also slightly reminiscent of children’s gloves that come attached to a string so you can’t lose them. Can you tell I am not digging this outfit lol!
