Lady Gaga takes bedazzling a Birkin to the next level

This is no the first time that Lady Gaga has taken to a Hermes Birkin and used it as an artistic outlet. I am not so sure I like the idea of anyone, be it Lady Gaga or some other fashion icon, doing anything but loving and taking oh so good care of their Birkins.

But, no matter what I say, Lady Gaga has altered one of the most coveted handbags out there, a Hermes Birkin. Gaga didn’t just add a little something here and there. Oh no, that’s not what Gaga would do. She went over the top and adorned her bag with very abrasive looking studs. And as you can see, I don’t mean little studs here and there, I mean like, spikes, very pointy and potentially painful spikes. Again, not something I’d do with my Birkin, but hey, nobody can hold Gaga back.

Gaga you’ve inspired me to make a Birkin or design another carryall satchel with pin studs allover it instead of spikes. This way I can attach and detach a little change purse or pocket to the front and or side. Love it! Wow, I better get sewing . . .

i enjoy seeing her being unique and going against the grain. I’m super curious about how Hermes house feels about it though. i wonder if they’re as horrified as some of the ladies in tpf, or if they think it’s a lovely artistic expression.

I didn’t like it at all. It’s her handbag, and she can do what she wants. But it looks ugly and haphazard. I love over the top handbags, but this is too much even for me.
I think that it may be because I am a math person and like things to be symmetrical.
With that being said, I find it heinous that she would do that to such beautiful leather. But, hey, it Lady GaGa. One should always expect the unexpected.

She’s not going against the grain, she’s doing her normal thing getting the cameras to take her picture because she turned her Birkin into an angry monster.

so awesome! i would totally do something gaga-esque to this white birkin i saw on shopbellabag.com! she doodled on one of hers, and it looked amazing!
