Leighton Meester is all smiles with Mulberry

Not long ago, we lamented Leighton Meester‘s nearly constant glumness on the set of Gossip Girl. She was frowny and sad-looking, and it worried me to a certain extent because I have oddly maternal feelings about the cast of that show. It makes no sense and I can’t pretend to explain it, so take that for what you will.

Perhaps part of her happiness is tied into her handbag choices as of late – I know that my accessories affect my mood greatly, and maybe she’s the same way. Her bags have been great in the past few days, although what you see to the left is certainly not my favorite iteration of the beautiful Mulberry Alexa Satchel. I prefer a solid leather, but if they were being given away for free (as they almost certainly were for Leighton), I wouldn’t turn it down.
