This whole Lady Gaga thing has become a little tiring, even for me

As I’ve said before many times, I’m an inveterate Lady Gaga fangirl. I’ve seen her perform live twice, I watched her HBO concert special several times, I own all of her CDs and enjoy her music quite a bit. I think she’s been good for pop music and is easily the most interesting singer to come along in quite awhile. I also think she’s immensely talented – she sings live at all of her concerts, and Gaga’s got a real set of pipes on her.

BUT ENOUGH ALREADY. We know you’re weird, Gaga. Most of us like a little weirdness. But the incessant posturing has started to become grating, and these pictures are an excellent example of why. Lady Gaga isn’t a young punk walking to an East Village bodega to buy a pack of smokes, she’s…Lady Gaga. So quit it with the crazy saunter and wear some crazy couture after which we can all lust instead. We’ll all like you better if you do. Even those of us who like you already.

I have been saying this for a long time yet it has fallen on deaf ears. I am so glad that someone is finally seeing the light. What she’s doing is NOT fashion. It’s not style. It’s for shock value.
That green leather coat she wore with the green heels is fashion and style. The way that she’s dressing now is just gimmicky costumes.

I love her despite this catastrophe. You are spot on about her recent fashion choices. She has a great voice, she forced other singers to up their game and she has never tried to look like the cookie cutter, “I’ve made it in Hollywood and now I can’t wait to shop!” Thank God for differences in artists and I just hope she comes down from the 1980′s Madonna era….she can always emulate Annie Lennox next in case she’s bored…

Exactly! All she does is copy and have people think she’s so original. I like her songs but I’d never in a millions years want to hang out with her. She’s so obnoxious.

I don’t think she’s soooo fashion forward either! I never liked her fashion choices and it’s good that someone eventually points it out, despite all the Gaga- crazyness these days. She dresses in order to be discussed by the media and all that… I don’t believe she’s herself when she dresses like that… She will eventually get tired and start dressing like a normal person.

I love her voice and am indifferent to her songs, but her style is usually pretty gross. It’s just over-the-top sexually weird.
