Kim Kardashian wears Kanye with Kanye (and carries Hermes, duh)

I wrote a while back that I thought that Kanye West‘s stylistic influence had motivated Kim Kardashian to modify her own personal style, and when you see the two of them standing together, how similar they’ve become, visually speaking, is totally apparent. A year ago, Kim probably had half the black clothes that she has today, and I certainly don’t think she had the Hermes So Black Birkin (all black, including the hardware) that she has today. So is that good, or is it bad? He’s definitely the reason Kim’s wearing the Kanye West for Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals that she’s wearing in this photos.

Kim inarguably looks better when she’s a bit toned down, as does almost everyone, so part of me thinks that we should all thank Kanye for his positive influence. On the other hand, though, I hate to see anyone change because of (or for) a significant other, and if Kim really does love all the tight, bright, fashion-victim stuff she used to wear, then I think she should keep on wearing it and Kanye should just deal. For now, I’m choosing to believe that Kanye’s more fashion-forward style has simply inspired Kim to be more thoughtful about her sartorial direction.

    Love this blog overall but I implore you…No more Kardashians. I cancelled my subscription to Bazaar because I was revolted when I saw Kim on the cover. P.S. The sandals are heinous and give a stubbier-than-usual appearance.

      In the interest of full disclosure: as much as people complain about the Kardashians, posts about them are some of the most popular we do. That’s true across the Internet – no one would write about them if they didn’t attract viewers. So there’s these two things we’re trying to balance – the people who voice irritation and the people who click on these posts in droves.

      Hopefully as fall rolls in and movie and TV production gets back on a more normalized schedule, there will be a larger variety of interesting pictures available for us to write about from our photo agency (and we use one of the biggest ones out there). During the summer, it can be a daily struggle to find anyone that carried a bag worth noting to put up here, regardless of who they are. Believe me, I’m as sick of writing about the Kardashians (and the Ecclestones) as you are of reading about them!

    This look… is SO NOT FLATTERING… the dress is wrong on her… her calves look like man calves, and the shoes… horrible on her… she is too short to wear them.

    It looks like she had a one piece bathing suit on and slipped on a skirt. Her eyebrows look really off, and her hairline looks like she just had a dark dye job.
