Britney was recently spotted in Miami International Airport on her way back to LA. While I actually really like her outfit there are just a few things I would change. Her jeans, boots and top are fabulous – especially her jeans. She’s been photographed carrying her bright yellow Hayden Harnett Nico XX Bag before and I think it is a nice way to spruce up any outfit. However, it would have been nice if she ran a brush through her hair or even kept it back in that hideously large scrunchy she has on her wrist. Side note: who still wears scrunchies?!?!!?

So what we have is: Britney, a trip to Target, 2 bodyguards, UGG boots, tiny shorts and a shirt I think no mom should every sport. Call me old fashioned, but no matter how rockin your bod is, there is no need to turn a perfectly cute shirt into a midriff top – especially if you are a mom. Don’t get me wrong, I am totally on team “If you got it, flaunt it” but sometimes someone can go a bit too far, like Brit has done here.

If the uber expensive Mercedes Benz she drove into the parking lot didn’t turn enough heads and trying to forget for a second that she is in fact Britney Spears, that outfit would be enough to garner all sorts of other attention. Granted I am continuously happy to see that she is returning back to more normal days, but the outfit has got to go. Wonder if she bought any more appropriate clothes for herself while in Target, hmmm?

Bag Britnye’s UGG Style via Nordstrom!

Despite all the talk of how “Circus” and Britney Spears music in general is “bad music,” I still like it. It’s catchy and fun; it’s the kind of music that when it comes up on Shuffle or on the radio, you just find yourself dancing. It’s just inevitable, like the Earth’s gravitational pull on the Moon, or something.

And here Britney looks every bit the pop princess she once was- but clearly now she’s matured into a “Queen of Pop” (no pun intended) with all the regular trimmings. Sparkles, check. Big sunnies, check. Toned bod and adorable children, check and check. Yep, sparkle and shine is in her blood, and I for one am so glad that she was able to overcome personal struggles and stage a super comeback.

If she wasn’t carrying the black bag that she’s got in this photo, I’d probably say something about how the smattering of studs doesn’t work too well and that the bright silver hardware is too harsh for the shiny black leather. But Britney works this bag, and works it well despite the fact that she’s already wearing her fair share of sparkle and shine. I can’t ID the bag, though I speculate that it might be Candie’s, for which Britney is the spokesperson. Can you ID it?

Not that someone like Britney Spears can go about her day without being noticed, but this bright bag is sure to draw more attention.

Ok, now that I’ve admitted that I am on team Brit, for better or worse, let’s discuss what is going on here. Pictured in London carrying a Candie’s Glazed Hobo, Britney’s look could use a little help. The bag itself, I actually like. I enjoy the bright, fun and flirty look. Plus, now that the official start of summer is right around the corner, it would be a perfect match with a great dress or heck, just about anything! Her jeans and tank-top I kinda like too. But, why the h-e-double-hockey-sticks does she have a monkey around her neck? It’s just not necessary. Brit, help me help you. Ditch the monkey and use that handbag as the focal point!
