I’ve been on a Desperate Housewives kick lately. For the most part, I find myself watching some of the old episodes more often than the new ones. This being the case, I’ve been seeing a lot of Eva Longoria Parker lately – as Gabby – not Eva. So, when I come across Eva in the spotlight, I get pretty excited to see what she is wearing. Her style is really rather fabulous.

The other thing about Eva is that she is usually spotted with basketball playing husband, Tony Parker. While they’ve been married for a little while now, they constantly seem more in love everyday. Once again, here the couple is dining at Beso’s after a game.

Eva looks great in her all grey ensemble. Her sweater, jeans and shoes all are slightly different shades of grey which play off of one another nicely. Then, she added a pop of color with her deep indigo blue Hermes Birkin. She’s carried the bag before and I for one welcome her to carry it time and time again. I am always interested in seeing what outfits celebs pair their Birkin handbags with!

Eva Longoria Parker is our latest Birkin-carrying celeb

I’m starting to wonder what proportion of Hermes Birkins go directly to celebrities, do not pass “go,” do not collect $200. Or $8,000, or whatever they’re going for now. Although I think stars still mostly have to pay for them, but who really knows at this point? I’ve heard so many conflicting things about Hermes’s policies regarding celebs that I don’t know which way is up anymore.

Anyway, yes, Eva Longoria Parker (side note – is she still using Parker? Are we, as a society, still using Parker?) is only the latest star out and about with the world’s most-wanted handbag (which I guess is subjective, but go with it). Hers is a deep indigo blue, and I only wish that the rest of her outfit was as interesting and vibrant as the bag’s color. Several shades and textures of black (denim, broadcloth, when will it stop?!?!?) just aren’t doing her any favors here.

Eva Longoria’s Gerard Darel is Farm-Animal Chic

We’ve seen Eva Longoria in Gerard Darel a few times, nay, more than a few times, but this Gerard Darel bag in a brown-and-white cow print one of her more eccentric picks. I’m not condemning her use of animal print, not at all. Rather, I adore it! We’ve seen a bevy of celebs turning back towards leopard print, but Eva’s going against the grain by choosing cow.

A rather clunky animal to the leopard’s stealth, one might be confused by why use cow print. That’s an easy question for me to answer: most prints are fairly uniform. Cow, however, is not. It’s funky and uneven and quirky, and absolutely adds another layer to Eva’s otherwise sleek and sophisticated ‘fit.

And clearly Darel’s magic has been working, because here the Desperate Housewives star was spotted going into the Gerard Darel store, presumably to pick up a new purse. We’re seeing the bags carried more and more by Eva these days. I may even conjecture that it looks like here favorite handbag designer is shifting from Gustto to Gerard Darel, so which do you prefer?

Eva Longoria Bonnie Metallic Chain Tote

My interest in Desperate Housewives comes and goes. I find myself watching the show without fail from time to time and then before I know it I miss a couple episodes. Either way, no matter how many episodes I catch or miss, I do love the fashion. While the outfits don’t come close to say, those worn on Sex and the City, these women do have style.

The style extends beyond the set and into the actresses daily lives. Of all the women on Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria is probably followed the most. Perhaps it helps that she is married to NBA star Tony Parker, but Eva is photographed all the time. Here, Eva was spotted arriving at Washington DC Dulles Airport carrying a somewhat flashy Coach bag. I actually think the Coach Bonnie Metallic Chain Tote in ivory is a great bag, especially for jet-setting!

Celebrities are movers and shakers. At this day and age where so many people are enthralled with what celebs are up to, where they go, what they do, who they do, it is no surprise that these same celebs basically command so much of the fashion world.

Desperate Housewives is still on the air, right? I haven’t watched it in years, but we continue to come across paparazzi photos of its stars, so I have to assume that it is. In trying to think of something interesting to say about Eva Longoria, I came to the realization that I had no real idea if the show still existed or where it was in its plotline.

Which means that I still can’t think of anything interesting to write about Eva Longoria, except that her Valentino Petale Tote is kinda awesome. And by kinda, I mean really. She seems to have a lot to carry, though – two regular tote bags full of God-knows-what in addition to her already large Valentino bag have me trying to guess what she might be doing, and as best as I can imagine, she’s going to the gym. She’d need a full change of clothes and shoes, and some people like having a separate bag for their sneakers. Of course, I have no way of proving this, it’s just a story I’ve made up in my head.

Eva Longoria: Is she the Gustto spokesqueen?!

Even if you aren’t a handbag addict, if you visit BagthatStyle often enough I am sure you are beginning to be able to identify the handbags Eva Longoria carries because, well, frankly, more often than not, she is toting Gustto. Now, don’t get me wrong here, I have no problem with that. In fact, I am a huge fan of Gustto but I am almost shocked to see fashionista Eva carrying them as often as she does.

Perhaps it is time to diversify? Well, before I start styling Eva (however, Eva, if you are out there, I’m totally up for the job) let’s talk about the Gustto Torsa Tote. I am a little surprised that we haven’t posted pictures of her carrying this before, but fellow Gustto fan, Fergie has been spotted carrying the same bag, but in a different color.

The entire look Eva has going on is fabulous. She certainly knows how to play neutral tones off of one another. Yet if she wasn’t carrying Gustto what would you like to see her carrying?

One Hit Wonders

Ok… before you go and get mad, I am not saying that any of these lovely ladies are one hit wonders themselves. However, we only had one image of each of them… thus, “One Hit Wonders”. I just felt that I had to explain my attempt at a catchy subject line.

Now onto what you are interested in. These are two images that boast unbelievably stylish handbags by Gustto and Adriana Castro. Audrina Patridge stood out in the image taken at the Fox Teen Choice Awards. And I can’t move forward without saying, what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks is Rumor Willis doing in the mix? Anyways, Audrina is carrying a gorgeous exotic Adriana Castro Clutch. The clutch is great, but Audrina really stands out with her bright look which totally pops alongside all those ladies in black.

Next we have Eva Longoria and her Gustto Bonda Clutch. Eva has been sporting all sorts of Gustto bags for a while now and I can’t fault her for that, they are some gorgeous bags! It is almost too coincidental how well the color of her bag matches part of her dress. I love it!

Eva Longoria Parker’s friend sports an Hermes Birkin

Maybe I’m crazy or seeing thing, but is the woman that’s shmoozing with Eva Longoria in these pictures Robin Antin? We can only partially see her face in one photo, but it sure looks a lot like the Pussycat Dolls founder and sister of celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Antin (I still miss his reality show).

Whoever it is, she’s carrying a gorgeous Hermes Birkin, although I’m a bit confused. I never thought I’d see an outfit that didn’t look totally great when worn with a Birkin, yet it looks like Robin picked up someone else’s bag by accident and wandered off. Skintight black leather pants certainly don’t go with a conservative bag in a staid shade medium brown, no matter how awesome the pants and the bag may be when seen independent of each other. The bag just doesn’t match her style – she’d do much better to get herself a black one with palladium hardware.
