Help ID Jessica Alba’s cute exotic tote!

Sometimes it looks like Jessica Alba could be in the running for mommy of the year. Almost every single group of pictures I see of Jessica Alba involve her AND her precious daughter, Honor.

Jessica and Honor recently did a little shopping in wet and dreary Beverly Hills, CA. Both mother and daughter are super cute in their close to matching hats. Yet, I have to say, I think I like Honor’s outfit more than Jessica’s. I don’t quite get the necessity to have her striped stockings coming out of her boots and those weird-o straps around her knees – don’t get it. I do wish I knew more about her handbag. I can’t tell if it is exotic or embossed and I have no idea who makes it. Any thoughts?

I’ve seen Jessica Alba look both utterly gorgeous and totally drab, so it’s difficult for me to evaluate how successful or unsuccessful her outfit is in any particular picture. On the one hand, I’ve probably seen her look better. On the other hand, I’ve almost always seen her look worse.

That’s exactly where I am on these pictures – I like the idea of her plaid romper, but I don’t like that it’s a romper or that she has styled it as a shapeless sack. I would prefer that it was a shirtdress instead and that she took the ten seconds to tie the little belt in its proper place, but I don’t think that it’s a total fail. Wait, is that even a belt, or is it just a wonky seam? I better stop looking, the garment is getting worse by the second.

As far as accessories go, tough boots are totally in right now and I’ve always had a soft spot for rain boots, so I don’t mind that she’s emphasizing function over fashion. I don’t care for her Jimmy Choo Triange Stud Tote either – the embellishment looks kid of cheap.

Jessica Alba is constantly spotted carrying fabulous handbags. The thing that I love most about her collection is that it is so eclectic. She’s not one of those celebs you only see carrying Chanel or Hermes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But, for those of us who can’t afford those kinds of bags it is always great to see a celeb carrying a bag that you or I could actually afford!

Jessica was spotted out and about carrying a Diane von Furstenberg Python Hayworth Day Bag. It looks like this is one of her bags that gets frequent use because we’ve seen her carrying it before. But this time, while I still appreciate the bag, I don’t really get why she is wearing slippers… outside. It looks like these pics were taken before and after leaving a salon. While I totally get wanting to be comfortable, I don’t really get the need to wear slippers outside. How about a pair of sandals instead?

Jessica Alba never leaves home without Honor or a fab handbag

Since giving birth to daughter, Honor, Jessica Alba has seldom been photographed around town without her. This my friends, I love. It is great to see a celeb spending so much time with her daughter. This is the kind of trend that I certainly hope sticks around for a while. Celebs often have more money than they know what to do with and they end up hiring all sorts of support staff to help raise their kids. I mean, to each their own, but nothing warms my heart more than to see a mom or dad with their child.

While Jessica makes sure to keep Honor by her side, she also does a fantastic job keeping a stellar handbag collection. She was photographed recently out and about in Beverly Hills with a red leopard print python bowling bag from Maia N. This lesser known designer broke into the handbag world just back in 2002 and has been turning heads ever since. And with celebs like Jessica Alba carrying one of these bags, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of them.

When I have kids, I sure as heck hope I look as awesome as some of the celeb mommies out there. Kelly Ripa, Gwen Stefani and Jessica Alba are just a few of the mom’s that come to mind. And lately, we’ve been seeing quite a bit of Jessica Alba. Perhaps it is because of her upcoming Revlon promotion and perhaps its because, well, she and her baby, Honor, are an adorable mother/daughter duo.

Here, Jessica stopped to grab some coffee while carrying her daughter and the equally fabulous Diane von Furstenberg Python Hayworth Day Bag. I’ve had my eye on this bag for quite some time now and I love to see people carrying it. Actually, I am starting to wonder who is more fashionable, Jessica or Honor. Anyone care to weigh in?

What is Jessica Alba up to these days? Frankly, I don’t know. But I do know that she continues to be photographed all the time. Good for you Jessica, good for you. Look, I’m not bitter, I am just a little taken aback by some of the recent information I’ve read. Apparently, Jessica’s daughter, Honor is on a strict no sugar, all organic diet. Hey, I’m all for an organic lifestyle, but Honor can’t even have fruit juice. That seems like a little much, no?

Alright, I’m not going say anything else about someone’s parenting decisions, because, frankly, it’s not up to me. However, I have no problem commenting on celebs and their handbag or wardrobe selections. Jessica’s casual outfit comes together nicely with her red Yves Saint Laurent Roady. I love this red bag with just about any outfit; it always works. I’m also giving a thumbs up to Jessica’s wide-leg pants, loose fitting top and scarf. Bravo!

Jessica Alba carries…uh…Jimmy Choo?

Posts like these are easily my least favorite to write. I hate when I’m, say, 85% sure of a bag’s origins and can’t find anything else online to validate my hunch or clue me in on the bag’s name. I am only one person – I cannot be an expert in all brands! I have to leave room in my head for conspiracy theories about what’s going to happen on the rest of this season of Dexter. And, I mean, that takes up a lot of space.

But yes, right, the bag that Jessica Alba is carrying here. I’m pretty sure that it’s Jimmy Choo, but I don’t think it’s from a recent season. You can’t entirely make it out, but it appears to be the brand’s logo engraved on the center buckle, which mirrors some of the designs that I can recall from their original handbag efforts a few years ago. It would stand to reason that this bag is at least a few seasons old, then – or am I entirely wrong? It’s happened before.

I’ve gotta say, I’m continually impressed by how much motherhood seems to agree with Jessica Alba. I never really pictured her as the type beforehand, what with all the scowling and irritation that used to characterize almost all the photos we used to see of her before the baby came. But now? She looks happy, radiant, all of those motherhood clichés. Could it be that they’re true?

It certainly looks like it might be from here. Jessica went to pick out a Halloween pumpkin with her daughter Honor recently, and she carried the very functional Yves Saint Laurent Besace Messenger to do it. I have such good memories of pumpkin carving from when I was small that I’m a little jealous of her bambino, and it’s also nice to see that she doesn’t farm out pumpkin-purchasing responsibilities to a nanny or assistant. But mostly, even though I’m not much of a Jessica Alba fan, a young celebrity with a healthy and happy life seems almost foreign in a culture filled with Lindsay Lohans and Britney Spearses. Good for Jessica!

Jessica Alba is quite the family lady lately. And honestly, this is great to see. Not that celebs should be held to different standards than the rest of us, but it seems like there could be so many more temptations out there. With all that money, it would be easy to hire a nanny or twelve, have them watch the kids and then continue on with your life. So, seeing so many pictures of Jessica with baby Honor Warren and baby daddy Cash Warren, I am a happy camper.

Beyond the family thing, Jessica also has a great look going. Nothing over the top, nothing too special, but none-the-less fashionable. Jessica is wearing the ASTARS Elisa Drape Tunic and carries a Tod’s G-Bag. Well, it looks like Cash lends a helping hand and carries that over-sized tote for her when necessary. Cute, oh so cute.

Jessica Alba is a Timi and Leslie Mommy!

Well, as you can imagine, it wasn’t that hard to ID which bag Jessica Alba was spotted carrying. However, seeing the name all over the bag made me very intrigued. So before I knew it I had spent over forty minutes going from site to site looking at these Timi and Leslie bags. In fact, it looks like Jessica is a huge Timi and Leslie fan!

Here, although not pictured, she’s shopping with daughter, Honor at Fred Segal in West Hollywood. I can’t help but wonder how annoying it must be to have paparazzi follow you and your child around all the time. I don’t have any kids yet, but I would imagine I’d like to be able to just come and go with my baby as I please. Not so much for the modern day celeb, huh? As Jessica is running her errands, she is carrying a large purple Timi and Leslie Tote, which is clearly perfect for a mom with so much going on!
