A lot of the time, a celebrity and the handbag she’s carrying make sense. Kim Kardashian carries lots of Birkins because she’s all about flaunting her wealth, Miranda Kerr carries a lot of Celine and Prada because her style is more in line with fashion people than celebrities, the Olsens carry a lot of vintage bags and It Bags before they catch on because they tend to set trends rather than follow them. As for Kate Hudson, I don’t see her make appearances on paparazzi sites all that often, but if I had to imagine what type of bag I’d expect her to carry, it’d be something that fits her luxe-hippie public persona. Perhaps one of those embellished, patchworked Simone Camille bags, or something made of brown suede and trimmed in fringe.
The last thing I expected Hudson to carry was something like the Nina Ricci Liane Leather Satchel. Nina Ricci is an old school Parisian label with a very clear bent toward traditional Parisian femininity, which isn’t the aesthetic ideal that I think of when I picture Hudson. That’s the nice thing about accessories, though; you can step outside of your generalized comfort zone without committing fully to a head-to-toe reversal of your normal look.

Is it just me, or has
Wow! I certainly wasn’t expecting this look from Kate Hudson. I’m not saying it is a bad thing, but I usually think of
Kate Hudson is one fashionable mom. As fashionable as she is, I have to say I was happiest when she finally cut her son, Ryder’s, hair. It was so long and ridiculous that I was just hoping and wishing that she’d cut his hair. So, yes, finally she did. Unfortunately I don’t have those images to share with you, but I do have these.
There is a bit of a common theme here. Celebs who attended the 2010 Costume Institutes Gala and happened to be wearing the same designer (not same dress per-say) pose for photo-opts together.
Now *this* is the kind of drama that I like. Kate Hudson was absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous at the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Kate Hudson has been on a white gown kick lately. She has been spotted a couple times recently wearing a white gown. Perhaps it is one of her favorite colors because she and her stylist team decided to rock a white gown to the 2010 Golden Gold Award Show last night.
So, what’s the deal, are Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez officially broken up or not? Perhaps they are on a break? In fact, as intrigued I am about their relationship status, I am as intrigued by the wide range of men Kate has been linked to. The wide range of interests that some of her men have had is sort of astounding. But hey, to each their own.
Ever since Kate Hudson began dating Alex Rodriguez, I’ve noticed a change in her attire. For the most part, I’ve come to grips with the fact that I have to say goodbye to boho-chic Kate and hello to sophisticated Kate. While I am ok with change, I am not sure how I feel about this.
Did you know that Alex Rodriguez has not one but two painting of him as a centaur in his bedroom? Is that not the most hilariously wonderful thing you’ve ever heard? His ex-girlfriend gave that little tidbit of info to one of the New York papers, and I can’t remember which one, but it has New York Post written all over it, don’t you think?
Well color me surprised. Kate Hudson is one of the last people I would expect to see embrace fashion’s current industrial trends, yet here she is dong just that. It’s not that I feel this way because I don’t think Kate follows fashion – I do. But her style has always seemed so feminine/bohemian to me, and industrial is the antithesis of those things.
Ah, there we go. In my last post on Kate Hudson I lamented the absence of her wonderfully quirky, boho style, and here it is again… but in a small amount. Baby steps,
