At this point there are certain groups of celebs that we’ve seemed to have covered more than others. I would have to say we cover the ladies on Sex and the City, Gossip Girl and the young reality stars on The Hills the most. But, this all makes sense, I mean, each one of the ladies involved on these shows/movies have great stylists and great handbags to carry. Like we haven’t skipped a beat, here we go again with all the ladies from Sex and the City II. So I’d like to break it down person by person.

Samantha, certainly showing her more animated side in one of the pictures, is wearing a form fitting black dress while carrying an exotic VBH Clutch.

Miranda is carrying a Kara Ross AMO bag in Honey Lizard with a Tiger’s Eye clasp and has a great pair of Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoos on her feet. In fact, I covered this exact outfit, with some individual shots, just the other week. I still think this clutch is fabulous.

Carrie looks whimsical in a Halston Heritage dress, Solange Azagury-Partridge necklace, fabulous Christian Louboutin shoes and a great Chanel clutch. We all know how much Carrie loves Chanel, so it is no surprise that she is going to be carrying x-number of Chanel handbags during the upcoming show.

And finally, Charlotte is wearing a pink Dior suit while carrying a Lady Dior Pink Lizzard handbag and wearing Christian Louboutin shoes. This is such a Charlotte outfit. I have come to expect this look from her, but I’m not complaining.

I’ve never been in a movie (shocking, I know, but I’ve got a lot of life left to live), but I imagine that if I ever WAS in one, and I knew that an army of professionals were going to slather me in makeup and hair product and choose my clothes for me every day, then this is exactly how I would show up for the set every day, except I would be wearing flip flops or UGGs, depending on the weather. Because of that, I can’t bring myself to hate on Sarah Jessica Parker too much in these photos.

Sure, she doesn’t look great, but why go to the effort of doing your hair and makeup if they’re going to immediately redo it as soon as you get to work? At least she chose a great bag: the Givenchy Sacca Tote has long been one of my favorites, and Givenchy has been extremely popular recently with fashionistas in the know. It’s one of those brands that’s only recognizable to other fashion people, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. If you’re a snob. Which, ya know, I am.

Sometimes I find myself wondering what it would be like to be one of the characters on Sex and the City. I am not talking about, “oh, of all the characters, I can relate to so-and-so the most”, I mean, what do you actually think a day in the life of someone like Sarah Jessica Parker is like while filming? Not only do you have cameras, directors, producers, make-up artists and other actors around you, if you are in a movie like SATC you have hundreds, maybe even thousands of on-lookers watching your every move.

So, while people are watching SJP‘s every move, we clearly become bombarded with copious amounts of pictures from the set. Here, Sarah was pictured in between takes sporting a casual canvas tote. Or, should I say, an unidentifiable, casual, canvas tote. This is one of those bags where even folks on the Purse Forum are at a loss. Well, what about the rest of her outfit? Very Carrie. Trendy, studded jeans, a diamond-esque headband, a pair of Uggs, and a SATC sweatshirt. Hmmm, I bet she at least gets to keep that aspect of her outfit!

Well, not quite so much pink, but magenta. Despite the fact that she is a fictional character, Carrie Bradshaw is quite the style icon, which has catapulted Sarah Jessica Parker to the top of the fashion totem pole. That’s not to say that actress and character have the same style; they most definitely do not. But they do seem to agree on one thing.

Bright, loud magenta bags. SJP has been toting a hot pink Bottega Veneta tote recently, and even Carrie has been seen with a salmon shaded Christian Louboutin hobo. But perhaps Patricia Field prefers the bold look on Carrie- case in point: Carrie’s ever-present shoulder flower- so she’s gone with the magenta Tod’s Bauletto Helmut Bag in Python to complement a starry dress and crazy lace-up Anne Demeulemeester high-heeled sandals on the set of Sex and the City.

And it works quite well, even if I’m not the largest fan of the lace-up booties. I’ll offer this much: if Carrie’s wearing it, it may work stylistically or it may not. But either way, she took the plunge, and who doesn’t need a little bit of bravery in fashion?

It’s rare these days that we see an image of Sarah Jessica Parker that’s not straight from the set of Sex and the City, but these have a decidedly non-SATC feel, don’t you think? This looks like the outfit of a regular person, not something that Patricia Field picked out for Carrie Bradshaw in a movie where all the clothes are exceptionally well-planned and meaningful to the story and the characters.

This outfit looks a little more basic (and, let’s face it, not that cute), but I do love her bright pink Bottega Veneta Tote. Bottega uses such amazing leathers that I’m sure it’s incredibly soft and touchable, and I love when they play with their traditional aesthetic by combining woven and non-woven leather in the same bag. The color doesn’t go very well with the other elements of her ensemble, but it would provide a great pop of color to an outfit that was more based in black and grey tones.

Sweet mother of pearl, Sarah Jessica Parker has a rockin bod. I know this isn’t anything new, but there are certain outfits she puts on that absolutely do nothing but show off what amazing shape she is in. Case in point, this Christian Dior newspaper dress. If you are a Sex and the City fanatic I am sure that this dress looks familiar to you. That’s because Carrie wore it during the TV series when she was heading to meet Big’s Natasha for lunch/dinner.

This time, SJP is rocking the same dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes while carrying a very “Carrie” clutch. I am pretty confident that you could place a variety of handbags used on set on a table and I could pick which bag is carried by which character. So, when I saw this bag, I was not surprised at all. I am surprised that I can’t figure out what the bag is. It’s driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Between Sex and the City and Gossip Girl, we could run a blog comprised fully of on-the-set photos of gorgeous bags, shoes, and clothes. Those two productions by themselves probably suck up all the fashion air in Manhattan, and they take up a lot of space on here. And we’re thrilled to have them. Beyond thrilled.

These pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker are from a couple of weeks ago, but when there are fabulous bags and shoes to talk about, time isn’t necessarily that important. Her Chanel Quilted Metallic Clutch and Christian Louboutin Glitter Pigalle Heels are just as fabulous today as they were a few weeks back, and they will continue to be fabulous for the foreseeable future. She looks as good here as she has looked in years.

Ahh, Sex and the City. It gives us so much eye candy while it’s filming and then so much more when it hits theaters. We’ve got quite a bit of filming to look forward to since things just got going a couple of weeks ago in New York City, and that means lots of bag and shoe candy is forthcoming.

Today, we’ve got a little bit of both from the set. Sarah Jessica Parker is seen here on the streets of New York carrying none other than a Chanel tote, but the real buzz from these pictures has been about her shoes. They’re Brian Atwood Loca Platform Pumps in light blue suede with gold studding. One very special detail is that the sides of the shoes, instead of being the same as the rest of the material, are made of lucite. Personally, I’d prefer them in silver studs, but it’s good to see that Pat Field is continuing the tradition of statement dressing in the sequel.

I’m just about the biggest Sex and the City fan on the face of the planet. I own all the individual season DVDs, the full season set, and the special edition of the first movie. I’ve seen all the episodes at least a half dozen times, some of them probably closer to a dozen. I TiVo the edited versions that come on TV and watch them for background noise or before I go to bed. So, obviously, I’m thrilled that they’re making a second movie – I’m a fangirl, and fangirls love this kind of stuff.

The only better thing that could possibly get me more excited than I was before is the indication that they’re going to do something that we’ve never seen, and that’s exactly what we’re going to get, according to these pictures. We’ve got Sarah Jessica Parker, decked out in 80s vintage, looking a little bit like a poodle. But that’s ok, it was the 80s! Everyone looked like that. IT IS HERE! Sex and the City 2 has begun filming in NYC. Can you feel the excitement? It has been building since Sex and the City the movie finished up, everyone wanted more. More of the fabulous ladies and more of the amazing fashion. Thanks to the obscene amount of paparazzi, we can give you inside looks at the outfits the ladies of Sex and the City 2 will be wearing well before it hits screen.

Today was the start of filming and Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted accessorizing with Christian Louboutin. Her famous character, Carrie Bradshaw, carried the Christian Louboutin Sylvia Large Softy Calf Hobo Bag with Hand Wrapped Leather Handle and wore the Christian Louboutin Gino Yellow and Black Round Toe T-Strap shoes.

When we first saw the Sylvia hobo, we were not sold on it. Leave it to the SATC stylists to put it on SJP and have everyone love it. Of course she pulls it off as well. The shoes are school-girl like, yet sassy and sexy. Expect much more Sex and the City fashion from the gals of Bag that Style!

I am starting to wonder which designer we are going to see the most of here on Bag that Style. Does anyone have any guesses? Once again I am writing about Chanel. I don’t mind doing so because, well, I love Chanel. But this time, it was a bit difficult for me to identify this bag. Luckily our resident Chanel expert over on the Purse Forum helped me out.

Sarah Jessica Parker is spotted here looking very NYC carrying her Chanel Reissue Flap. Clearly this bag doesn’t jump out and scream *CHANEL* but there is without a doubt something very identifiable about it. On the other hand, it is unique, edgy and very urban. I like seeing the switch up. While SJP’s style can be a bit eccentric, she is a person that can really pull it off. I’m totally digging her hat and shades just as much as the bag. I can’t wait to see what kind of fashionistas (or complete opposites) her kids turn into!

Expectant Mom {via surrogate} Sarah Jessica Parker always seems to wear one fierce accessory. This bag is no wallflower with it’s faux snake/painted tote from Miu Miu’s 2009 “Whip Collection”.

I can’t help but think of that ginormous closet she got to open up while on the Sex and the City Movie. Do you think this bag would make the cut? With a closet that large, I bet there are secret compartments – one for each designer. Sigh, a girl can dream.
