But even with the Uggs, the whole clan looks utterly glam. Of course, I can’t get over how utterly dashing Ed Westwick looks even beside his stylish costars. The three-piece grey pinstriped suit artfully combined with the tailored grey coat… absolute heaven. And he’s not wearing Uggs, which certainly helps.

His counterpart, Leighton aka Blair Waldorf, is also quite the fashionista, sporting the Old English plaid Sunner Big Check Coat while Blake and Chace Crawford are going the more casual route. So, can any of you help me out and identify these two mysterious totes?

But mostly, I wonder why show sponsor Verizon expects us to believe that all of these people (save for Blair, who presumably has to have a Blackberry because her plotting is complicated and requires mobile internet) use regular ol’ flip phones. Virtually everyone that I know between the ages of 18 and 25 has an iPhone or a Blackberry, and my friends aren’t even particularly rich. Were the characters real people, they would be mortified at the phones they’re required to use. They’re not remotely status-y.

The show bosses may not do a great job with the characters’ digital accessories, but at least they’re still doing great with the leather ones. Here, Blake Lively is carrying a Carlos Falchi Brooke Matte Caiman Tote in creamy, wonderful crocodile skin. The gathering at the bag’s gussets is a perfect punctuation to the beautiful skin, and its simplicity and beautiful neutral color make this one of the best croc bags I’ve seen in quite a while. Maybe she secretly has a Blackberry stashed in there somewhere…

I’m kind of conflicted over this dress, which Blake wore to the New York premiere of Where the Wild Things Are, in the same way that I was kind of conflicted when I saw Marchesa’s Spring 2010 collection when it debuted a few weeks ago. On the one hand: beautiful attention to detail, extremely luxe materials, the audacity to use feathers. On the other hand: Icecapades. It’s a little figure skater-y, right? All of the signs are there: it’s really short, it has a lot of movement around the hips, the bodice looks like it’s supposed to be slightly risque but is actually held tightly in place and is not revealing anything.

I think that the Gossip Girl costumers should take note, though: it’s possible to make Blake Lively look like something other than an expensive hooker. She can also look like a figure skater.

While we are a site that focuses on handbags, the first thing that caught my eye was Blake’s amazing tights. Let me be the first to tell you I hate… no, I LOATHE tights. Even in middle school when I would go to a dance and my mom would insist that I wear them, I would wear them out the door but totally take them off in the bathroom at the dance. I hate feeling so confined. However, these tights are a pair I would gladly wear with pride and confidence. After the tights I moved onto her bag.

Here, Blake carries the Kotur Wallace Gold Leaf Haircalf. Admittedly, this is a bag I’ve never seen before and I rather like it. It is unique, very unique and very different. This is not the kind of bag you are going to see all over the place and let’s be honest, this is something that most handbag lovers yearn for!

Regardless, Blake looks fabulous waiting around for cameras to roll. I love her short floral dress paired with a hot pair of red high heels. The red flowers on the dress pop with the shoes she has on. I also want to get my hands on her sweater. This time of the year I love putting on a great sweater, curling up on the couch and watching a great movie. Her look is topped off with a Chanel Sensual Tote. Everything works so well together. I want the sweater and the bag to be mine!

Now this, this is what Gossip Girl is all about. Opulence in the form of crazy beading, jewels, fancy capelets that have no real use, and more beading. Or in the case of Chace Crawford, it’s about wearing a pinstriped pant, a dotted jacket, and a brown fedora all at once and still looking incredibly hot.

Of course, opulence in Gossip Girl often takes a bit of a different appearance, but this is what’s lurking inside those newfangled designer outfits. Tonight a new episode airs, featuring a 1920s-themed Halloween party, which really shows us how our favorite characters would dress had they lived in the 1920s. Little Jenny, aka Taylor Momsen, is wearing a zoot suit! And you thought they couldn’t get much more over-the-top, right?

Here we have Blake Lively as Serena in an itty-bitty beaded dress and capelet carrying a gold beaded that I’m not having much luck identifying, but I’m almost not disappointed in myself because the overall image is so completely, outrageously, ridiculously excessive and I do love it. I really do. Now if you excuse me, I have to run and buy a Halloween costume, because this idea is brilliant.

I know some people have been hating on this dress and Blake for wearing it, and while it’s obviously a little Vegas-y (the light smattering of sequins doesn’t help), I’m not mad at her at all. If I had her body, you best believe I’d rarely ever make a serious attempt to cover it more than is required by law. And I also am not convinced that her chichis are fake – she’s not super thin, and I have a very petite friend with a very similar boobage situation going on. She’s just genetically blessed, and that’s obviously true of Ms. Lively in a variety of ways.

The fact that Blake Lively’s legs look to be approximately eight feet long probably helps them in their joke, and the Christian Louboutin Python Pumps that she’s wearing in these pictures just make them look even longer. I love the color and drape of her cocktail dress, but I fear that if Blake bends the wrong way, the paparazzi are going to be photographing more of her than she probably wants. I’m not much of a fan of her handbag (it’s too big for her evening-appropriate outfit), but in another outfit, it might be cute. Both of them are filming fashion-centric shows for the CW on the streets of New York City right now, and they’re bound to cross paths eventually. Plus, we caught Blake carrying the Dior Granville Tote, a bag that we’ve seen Mischa with time after time. So this could totally be a sign of a bag-sharing friendship, right? Ok probably not. I realize that. But it’s fun to think about the parallel universe that they must live in in such terms, right?

And it is still, as it was before, perfection. I prefer its matte incarnations, but the detailing of this bag and the way the skins are pieced together shows an incredibly attention to craftsmanship that many major designers simply aren’t giving us anymore. The bag is exquisite, and I’d do a lot of unsavory things to have one in my closet right now. If you haven’t seen it before, be sure to take a trip to the designer’s website and check out the amazing ostrich, crocodile, and alligator versions – it’s worth your minutes, I assure you.
