I had seen a different set of pictures of Colette and thought that maybe that was a one-time thing. Apparently, however, she dresses like that all the time, which has to be kind of embarrassing if you’re her teenage daughter. She’s in shape and appears to like dressing that way, however, so good for her. At the least, I like her choice in bags – the Be&D Kan Kan Tote that she’s rocking here is a great bag at any age.

Kelly sported some Alice + Olivia clothing of her own and looked absolutely fabulous. She is one celeb who always seems so graceful, elegant and friendly. Even when wearing a cropped fur vest and chunky jewelery, Kelly remains elegant.

She’s gone and paired this red hot red look with a large red tote. The unfortunate part is that I simply have no idea what bag she is actually carrying. In fact, I’ve scoured the internet and even asked members of the Purse Forum. We are all stumped. And, I say it is unfortunate because this is the perfect tote for so many occasions. I am dying to know what it is!!!

I wonder if it’s awkward on set, though. Jessica Szohr is dating Ed Westwick (who plays Chuck) in real live, and Penn Badgley has been with Blake Lively for quite some time. So when Penn and Jessica have to make out on set (or canoodle, as they’re doing here), is that awkward for everyone? And, more importantly, is it any more awkward than the truly weird (and unidentified) bag that Jessica is toting here?

But even with the Uggs, the whole clan looks utterly glam. Of course, I can’t get over how utterly dashing Ed Westwick looks even beside his stylish costars. The three-piece grey pinstriped suit artfully combined with the tailored grey coat… absolute heaven. And he’s not wearing Uggs, which certainly helps.

His counterpart, Leighton aka Blair Waldorf, is also quite the fashionista, sporting the Old English plaid Sunner Big Check Coat while Blake and Chace Crawford are going the more casual route. So, can any of you help me out and identify these two mysterious totes?

But mostly, I wonder why show sponsor Verizon expects us to believe that all of these people (save for Blair, who presumably has to have a Blackberry because her plotting is complicated and requires mobile internet) use regular ol’ flip phones. Virtually everyone that I know between the ages of 18 and 25 has an iPhone or a Blackberry, and my friends aren’t even particularly rich. Were the characters real people, they would be mortified at the phones they’re required to use. They’re not remotely status-y.

The show bosses may not do a great job with the characters’ digital accessories, but at least they’re still doing great with the leather ones. Here, Blake Lively is carrying a Carlos Falchi Brooke Matte Caiman Tote in creamy, wonderful crocodile skin. The gathering at the bag’s gussets is a perfect punctuation to the beautiful skin, and its simplicity and beautiful neutral color make this one of the best croc bags I’ve seen in quite a while. Maybe she secretly has a Blackberry stashed in there somewhere…

I can only assume that it’s her minions who are being awarded for their undying servitude and admiration, and the episodes of Gossip Girl being filmed right now will most likely air sometime during the holiday season and, you know, ’tis the season for giving and whatnot. So what do I have to do to get a free YSL bag? Scheme? Plot? Dump a parfait on Eric’s head for sitting too high on the Met steps? Because really, I’m pretty flexible. Let me know, Jenny.

Jessica Szohr is now a celeb people notice. Like here, she was caught laughing and smiling from ear to ear as she visited It’s On with Alexa Chung in New York City. Whether on Gossip Girl or not, Jessica continues to be photographed looking great. Here, she has on pair of skinny jeans, a fabulous and I mean fabulous grey coat while carrying a Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag with studs. She must love this bag because we’ve seen her carry it before. But seriously, how gorgeous is her coat?!

I’m kind of conflicted over this dress, which Blake wore to the New York premiere of Where the Wild Things Are, in the same way that I was kind of conflicted when I saw Marchesa’s Spring 2010 collection when it debuted a few weeks ago. On the one hand: beautiful attention to detail, extremely luxe materials, the audacity to use feathers. On the other hand: Icecapades. It’s a little figure skater-y, right? All of the signs are there: it’s really short, it has a lot of movement around the hips, the bodice looks like it’s supposed to be slightly risque but is actually held tightly in place and is not revealing anything.

I think that the Gossip Girl costumers should take note, though: it’s possible to make Blake Lively look like something other than an expensive hooker. She can also look like a figure skater.
