Here the dynamic duo (and I use that term with complete sarcasm) was photographed visiting It’s on with Alexa Chung in NYC. Once again, Heidi is carrying her beloved Yves Saint Laurent Y Tote. We’ve seen her carry this bag several times before, but the more she carries it, the more I start to dislike it. Even more along the lines of dislike, that furry vest she has on. I am sure it actually might not look that bad on someone else, but I can’t stand it on Heidi.

And despite all the expensive stuff she wears, she normally manages to look pretty terrible. I’m not entirely hating her outfit here, though, and in all honesty, that makes me kind of hate myself. Ditch the jacket but keep the 20s-inspired stuff that remains, and then add in a different (more tailored, less hairy) coat, and I think it’s a winner. The Christian Louboutin Mamimo Spectator Booties go well with her bedazzled knee socks (can knee socks come back, please? They’re so fun), and it’s nice to see her wear a dress that’s more fashionable and less body-conscious. Now if only she’d wise up and get rid of that mewling sack of crap that she calls a husband.

Or maybe it’s a shoe pattern. Or maybe it’s both? But in the past few weeks, Heidi has been caught several times toting bags that we know she’s had for months (if not longer), including the Yves Saint Laurent Y Tote that we see here (and that we saw less than a week ago). Normally I’d be happy to write a bag about how this obviously meant that Speidi is having cash flow issues and that their time in our national consciousness may be short.

Except every one of these old bags has been partnered with a pair of brand new, uber-expensive designer boots. This time, it’s the Christian Louboutin Babel Suede Platform Boots. So maybe it’s not a cash issue – maybe Speidi is just having a boot moment?

But something that they do manage to do reasonably well in this instance is accessorizing. Heidi Montag’s beautiful, soft Yves Saint Laurent Y Tote manages to match perfectly with her Yves Saint Laurent Y Platform Boots, even though they came out in completely different seasons (although being from the same brand obviously helps a great deal). I think my covetousness of her accessories wardrobe only makes me hate them all the more. Maybe she’ll one day have to auction all her stuff when they lose all their money, and then the rest of us can enjoy their ill-gotten gains.

Leave it to Heidi Montag to undo all of my hard work with a single outfit. First of all, by themselves, her Christian Louboutin Alta Fifre Corset Boots are knock-me-over-with-a-feather gorgeous. Paired with opaque black tights and an ultra luxe tunic – or maybe a boyfriend-cut cashmere sweater? – they would be unspeakably beautiful. Seriously, if it wasn’t clear already, I adore them. But when you pair them with a tiny hot pink tank top and, of all things, a leather mini skirt (WHAT?), the whole thing looks like a rejected costume from a bad “Pretty Woman” remake. Add in the completely non sequitur Hermes Birkin that doesn’t match with ANYTHING else that we see here, and I fear that my head may explode.

Audrina, on the other hand, looks positively boring by comparison. I do, however, love her Chanel Crossbody Bag.

Well, love it or hate it, these celebs are some of the most photographed people out there. Starting with paparazzi loving Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag we are bound to see even more drama this season. And speaking of drama, Lauren Conrad is out while Kristin Cavallari is in. Lauren and Kristin have butted heads for years now so it will be interesting to see how Kristin fits in with this crowd. When it comes to fitting in, I am beyond stoked to see what happens between Kristin and Audrina Patridge’s ex, Justin Bobby. The rumor mills have been all a buzz and I have to say, I totally feed into it all.

So are you counting down the hours like I am? And why hasn’t MTV started a marathon of The Hills leading up to tonight’s premiere yet?

I don’t even care about the handbag right now. Let’s focus on the fact that Heidi Montag looks NORMAL. I honestly cannot remember the last time that I saw a picture of Heidi where she had minimal makeup and was wearing casual clothes. And you know what, this is a beyond refreshing surprise.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt where photographed one night looking like just any other couple who was heading home after grabbing some ice cream. I mean people, even Spencer looks normal. He isn’t wearing some ridiculous outfit and he isn’t posing for the camera. This paparazzi-crazed couple should really shoot for this look more often. I am a happy camper, I really am.

Now, if I could just figure out what gorgeous white bag Heidi was carrying…

I think it’s at least partly possible that they’re really elaborate performance artists. I have an incredibly hard time believing that these people actually exist in objective reality as we see them through the lens of paparazzi photos or the hyper-edited Hills. How can they possibly?

And their latest stunt just makes me believe it all the more – Heidi’s no nipples, no vajayjay Playboy spread. They’ve been seen around town flashing the issue to anyone that will look, and I’m seriously glad to be distracted from it by the gorgeous LAI Python Pamela Tote in these photos. Whether or not Speidi is real, their bags continue to be fantastic.

I swear to you, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a picture of Heidi Montag without Spencer Pratt in it. And now, folks, I present to you what I like to call Pratt/Montag v2.0. There is a Pratt and there is a Montag in these pictures, but they aren’t your usual suspects. In this case, Stephanie Pratt and Holly Montag are pictured strolling through the streets of LA, grabbing some Pinkberry after what I assume was a workout.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t know as much celeb gossip as I know, but oh well, it is what it is. Remember a little while back when Stephanie came forward about her eating disorder(s)? Well no matter what is going on now (and I certainly hope it isn’t disorder-induced) she is looking rather thin! And then there is Holly. It is a bit surprising that the once extremely vocal anti-Spencer Montag sister is pictured all buddy buddy with another Pratt. But hey, I won’t judge.

What I will judge is the fashion tragedy that I am witnessing. While I don’t make fun of workout attire, isn’t this a bit much? I mean, both of them should tone it down a bit. Stephanie is carrying a bag she’s actually designed herself and Holly is carrying a gorgeous white Chanel bag. I mean, I *always* carry Chanel to the gym, don’t you?
