The more I see of Leighton Meester on the red carpet, the more I like her. Sort of in the same way that I like Mariah Carey – I think she might be completely insane, and I respect that. Leighton is younger, so her insanity is not as advanced or robust as MiMi’s, but give her some time, I don’t think she’ll disappoint us. She has already started to cultivate a bizarre little singing career/side project thingy, complete with a weird, kitschy video that didn’t appear to be kitschy in an ironic way.

She also wears many different, off-kilter things on the red carpet, which I absolutely love. She takes more chances than the average starlet on a teen drama would ever dream of, and it often pays off in spades. I can’t say that I love this outfit or the Spring/Summer 2010 Louis Vuitton Minibag that she’s carrying with it, but I’d much rather look at her wearing something like this than at Reese Witherspoon wearing another safe, perfect cocktail dress.

Leighton Meester is quite the young actress/singer/trendsetter. Isn’t she? Whether she is playing Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, working on her album or is simply spotted out and about, she always looks really amazing.

Leighton was spotted just a little while ago on the red carpet of the opening night of Klutch Nightclub hosted by JustJared.com in Miami Beach, Florida. At first glance, I wasn’t sure it was Leighton, but without a doubt it is. She looks so sophisticated in her Christopher Kane cut-out dress and super foxy Yves Saint Laurent platform shoes.

In fact, Leighton didn’t just attend the opening, she also performed a few songs including “Somebody to Love” featuring Robin Thicke. At this point, it seems as though the sky is the limit for Leighton and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

The Stylish Gossip Girl Gals Carry Mystery Totes

Leave it to Leighton Meester and Blake Lively to look fabulous on the Gossip Girl set carrying beautiful bags that have completely stumped me and quite a few of the lovely ladies on the Purse Forum. I find solace only in the fact that both Leighton and Blake are wearing Uggs, proof that they have normal human needs of comfort, unlike their characters on the show who gallop around the city in four-inch heels on a daily basis.

But even with the Uggs, the whole clan looks utterly glam. Of course, I can’t get over how utterly dashing Ed Westwick looks even beside his stylish costars. The three-piece grey pinstriped suit artfully combined with the tailored grey coat… absolute heaven. And he’s not wearing Uggs, which certainly helps.

His counterpart, Leighton aka Blair Waldorf, is also quite the fashionista, sporting the Old English plaid Sunner Big Check Coat while Blake and Chace Crawford are going the more casual route. So, can any of you help me out and identify these two mysterious totes?

Everyone on Gossip Girl has a Valentino bag

I think we’ve seen more Valentino bags worn by the characters of Gossip Girl this year than basically any other designer. Taylor Momsen carried one to the Halloween party, Hilary Duff wore one when she first met Dan, and Blake Lively had one on her arm when she met KC, her eventual boss. Not only that, but an entire plot point in last week’s episode centered around Leighton Meester striking up a friendship with a call girl named Brandeis just because she saw her carrying a Valentino bag in a coffee shop.

But it finally looks like Leighton has a Valentino 360 Hobo all to herself. Another thing that she has all to herself? Chuck Bass. Color me jealous on both accounts.

Ok, so, “my” may not technically be the correct word. Since, ya know, I don’t really have one of the Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Leopard Shawl. But in my head, I own all of them, in every color, and I’m simply loaning them out to all the people that want to wear one. Obviously, Leighon Meester asked nicely and I was happy to oblige. I am, after all, a big Gossip Girl fan.

I cannot, however, attest to where she found her Fendi Peekaboo Satchel – I don’t mentally own all of those bags, although I do quite enjoy them. The regular black version isn’t my favorite, but it’s probably hard to incorporate an intricate bag what you’re already sporting a very eye-catching scarf. Over all, well-played.

Leighton Meester is Perfect with Proezna Schouler

People, I am almost speechless; this look is amazing. Leighton Meester certainly knows how to pull of the casual cool look like none other. She’s pictured here on the set of Gossip Girl in the Chinatown section of NYC. As soon as I came across these images I knew I had to snatch them up.

This is one of my favorite looks I’ve seen Leighton wear. From top to bottom, I can’t find a single thing wrong. I love the black sweater, form fitting jeans, black high heeled boots and of course her gorgeous Proenza Schouler PS1 in purple suede. The purple bag pops against the dark and plain outfit. Sometimes you really should dial down your outfit and let a gorgeous bag like this do all the talking.

I love Leighton Meester. Love! I love that she’s a brunette, I love that she’s not fake tanned within an inch of her life, I love that she did that song with Cobra Starship, and I love that she wears things that are more avant garde than 90% of starlets her age. I think she always looks fabulous, even when her outfit is a little out there.

Her outfit here is a bit safe for her normal aesthetic, but she looks absolutely young and adorable – if only all actresses did casual this well. She’s spicing up her look a bit with a Derek Lam Leopard Print Bag, something else that most other starlets wouldn’t be cool enough to have. It’s probably one of the most subtle animal prints I’ve ever seen, and she mixes it with the print of her dress expertly. Side note: anyone know how I can get my hair to be that perfectly wavy?

Leighton Meester loves the Proenza Schouler PS1

I think we’ve seen Leighton Meester with more Proenza Schouler PS1 Satchels than we’ve seen on all the rest of Young Hollywood combined. And she has great taste – the bag is widely regarded by editors and fashionistas as super stylish and a tailored, elegant choice. Her suede version fits in well with her slightly hipster style, which she’s obviously sporting here.

On a different note, does anyone know who that is that she’s with? Last I heard, she was dating Sebastian Stan, who’s currently playing Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl. But…that’s not him. And whoever it is, he’s carrying a gorgeous Goyard messenger, it appears. So if he’s so stylish, maybe he’s her best gay? It’s so hard to tell with hipsters. If you’ve got the inside scoop on this dude, let us know.

One of my top 5 favorite looks from the 2009 Emmy Awards last night went to Leighton Meester. She appeared on the red carpet and was a vision of perfection. Her hair was done up in a loose tasseled finish which went perfectly with her Bottega Veneta ensemble, Roger Vivier shoes, and Cathy Waterman jewels.

Her Bottega Veneta Bianco Chiffon Evening Gown was effortless perfect. Perfectly matched to her rouge lips, Meester offset the white gown with the Bottega Veneta Carminio Crocodile Knot Clutch. Everything about this ensemble is so spot on that I could continue to go on and on about it. Instead I am sitting here staring at perfection. Her stylist needs a raise and also I would like to give him my number.

Bottega Veneta is a go-to choice for timeless elegance and Meester shows us why. It is not a brand that can only be worn by certain ages, but it is a brand that radiates when styled properly as the apparel speaks for itself and the accessories offer touches of finalized perfection.

How many of you are tuned into Gossip Girl now that the new season has just started? Well, you better believe I was watching the season opener this week. And luckily, since we have been able to bring you images of the cast while filming was going on, I sat there and was as interested in the plot line as I was with identifying what the cast was wearing.

Leighton Meester is spotted here carrying a ridiculously gorgeous red Mulberry bag. While I am still on the fence concerning how I feel about Leighton’s character, I think her style is flawless. In fact, she is the kind of person I would actually love to meet in real life. I am not the kind of person who yearns to be involved in the celeb circle, yet there are certain celebs I would love to know… cough, Kim, Kourtney or Khloe Kardashian, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Lauren Conrad… cough, cough.
