First, let’s get the identifications out of the way, since this is the most similar that I’ve seen the Olsen Twins look in ages. It’s also the first time I’ve preferred Mary-Kate’s look to Ashley’s, but we’ll get to that in a second.

In these photos, MK is wearing the cute double-breasted blue coat and skinny jeans, while Ashley opts for the old-lady fur coat and an abused vintage Hermes Kelly Bag. MK doesn’t appear to have a bag in these pictures, which is too bad, but she still wins the outfit war easily. Her ensemble is young and wearable, and her exceptionally well-cut coat is accented perfectly with an equestrian leather belt. If anyone knows who made her sunglasses, please tell us in the comments, if only for my personal knowledge so that I can buy them. Something is telling me Tom Ford, but I’m not sure.

Ashley, on the other hand…well, Hermes is a good choice, but that particular Hermes needs some love and care. The dress that she had under that coat, which she wore to promote their Olsenboye clothing line on Good Morning America, was pretty cute. Too bad we can’t see it here, it would improve the view.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen carry Maia N and Hermes

You guys, I’m kind of concerned for my sanity. I think I’ve spent too much time looking at paparazzi photos and contemplating their composition, because I no longer have any difficulty telling the difference between Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Even when their hair color is the same, and they both look like they may have showered recently. I can still tell. And it scares me.

This time, at the New York premiere of Nine, a movie whose subject matter I am unable to ascertain based on the commercials for it, Mary-Kate is standing on the left and Ashley is on the right. And they’re looking like only the Olsen twins do, which is to say they look like really rich crazy people, but they’re both carrying great handbags. Mary-Kate has a stunning cobalt Maia N. Crocodile Clutch and Ashley has an apparently vintage black Hermes Kelly Bag of which she has seemed quite fond lately. Ashley is also wearing some shoes of note (and wearing a jacket that reminds me of a costume that Lady Gaga wore in concert when I saw her a few days ago) – they’re by Manolo Blahnik.

Elmo, errr, Mary-Kate Olsen carries Chanel and Hermes

I can’t imagine what it would be like to be uber popular and highly sought after since the tender age of like, 2. Well, that is what Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have dealt with. Now in their twenties, they still can’t go anywhere without someone else taking note. I think I’d get sick of that pretty quickly, but that’s just me.

Here we have Mary-Kate Olsen going somewhere in New York City. I don’t have any info on where she is going or what she is doing, but my goodness, does she have enough bags with her? And not just bags, but expensive, gorgeous and head-turning bags. On her shoulder, an over-sized Chanel Tote and in her hand a Hermes Kelly Bag. I would appreciate said bags even more if Mary-Kate didn’t look like a blond version of the Sesame Street character, Elmo, but MK is apparently a fashionista, so I’ll let her go on with her bad self… while I judge from the comfort of my couch.

Rihanna is strong with Alexander Wang

It doesn’t really matter if you like Rihanna, her songs, her lifestyle or not, one thing is certain, you have to feel kind of bad for her right now. I was horrified when I heard how everything went down between and then boyfriend Chris Brown. I became re-horrified when I heard she got back together with him after the awful abuse. And now, I just want to hug Rihanna. I was so happy to hear that she came out and shared her experience with Diane Sawyer (and the rest of the world). Clearly, Rihanna is ready to move on. She’s learned from the past and never wants to be in that situation again.

Who can blame her? Even better yet, Rihanna told Diane how she wants to be a role model to other young women – she wants women out there to know they can get out of a bad relationship and move on. Bravo!

Ok, now onto her fearless look here. Rihanna was pictured walking into her recording studio looking fabulous and carrying the very popular Alexander Wang Coco Duffel. This bag is circulating the celeb world. Celebs like Kristin Cavallari and Mary Kate Olsen absolutely love this bag. Rihanna rocks it as well as the rest of them. Plus, her top, can you say to-die-for? Keep your head up Rihanna, you are sure to shine!!!

Some celebs just have a knack for getting their hands on (literally) stuff that the rest of us just can’t have. Mary-Kate Olsen is particularly good – sometimes it’s vintage and one-of-a-kind, sometimes it’s next season’s stuff that won’t be available to mere mortals for months, and sometimes it’s something that’s current, but was part of a very small run and now is impossible to find.

The Yves Saint Laurent Croc-Stamped Minaudiere that Mary-Kate wore to the recent Met Ball in New York City is a bag of the third type, I believe. Folks have reported seeing it sold here and there, but I see hide nor hair of it on the Yves Saint Laurent website or any other place online that sells YSL, although there are some similar things out there. I must say, I love this tiny little thing, although Mary-Kate is looking typically pallid and terrifying.

Celebrities and A-listers are known to get the latest bags sometimes before they even debut on the runway. This was the case with Mary Kate Olsen and the much sought after Alexander Wang Coco Bag. It seems that Mark Kate Olsen was given this bag before it even showed on the Alexander Wang Fall 2009 runway show, thereby making it not-available and highly sought after. Great idea Wang! The bag is called the Alexander Wang Coco Duffel and the estimated retail price will be around $900 when it is released in July. For $900, I am saying that I have to have this bag!
