Today is the last day to enter to win the clutch carried by Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City 2! PurseBlog has partnered with Adriana Castro to giveaway the Adriana Castro Python Eva Clutch. Entering is simple and winning would mean you would own a very distinctive and stylish clutch!
The character Miranda, on Sex and the City has had the most drastic change from beginning to end of the entire series. For those of you who know (or may not know) during the first few seasons she looked a little, ummm, rough around the edges. She embodied a high power lawyer who didn’t really seem to have enough time for herself. Yet now, vavavooom! Fabulous.
And thankfully, Cynthia Nixon who plays Miranda looked as gorgeous as ever last night at the premiere of Sex and the City 2. While some of the other leading ladies opted for bright noticeable colors, Cynthia chose a chic black Carolina Herrera gown. This gown fit her perfectly and allowed her flawless skin to shine as well. I don’t know if any of the ladies last night were a fashion “don’t”.
Confession: I’ve always had something of a crush on Chris Noth. I think that it stems entirely from his character in Sex and the City, who I didn’t hate nearly as much as some people did – he was smart, independent, a bit of a jerk. I’ll admit it – I like a little sprinkle of jerk on my men.
He’s getting a little long in the tooth at this point (aren’t we all?), but it seems as though his fiancée, Tara Wilson, is helping to keep him young at heart. Her blue and gold dress looks lovely on her, although I couldn’t find any information on it from the usual fashion suspects. If you know who made it (or Noth’s suit), please let us know in the comments.
Let’s be blunt, shall we?
I have no idea what uberstylist Patricia Field wore to the Sex and the City 2 premiere. No clue. I can’t haven’t been able to find the information online anywhere, and considering that Field has a nearly limitless vintage catalog (not to mention access to basically every current collection in the world) at her disposal, it could be almost anything. I checked all of my usual sources and none of them seem to know, so we’re just going to assume that she just threw on a little vintage number and, crimped her hair into a side ponytail and hit the town.
Yes, that’s a crimped side ponytail. Yes, I think Patricia Field is a genius that has had an enormous impact on the way modern women dress. Sometimes I don’t understand the method to her madness, but I trust her
Ahhhh, what a life it must be. Mega-star actress, check. Jet-setting life style, check. Amazing roles in hit television shows and movies, check. A wardrobe most women would do anything for, check. Premiere to after party wardrobe change, CHECK!
Well, Sarah Jessica Parker lives a life that includes all of the aforementioned aspects. SJP changed out of her long, flowing and bright yellow Valentino gown and into a dark, short black lace Elie Saab Fall 2010 dress to Sex and the City 2 after parties in NYC last night. This look is much edgier than what she wore to the premiere itself, but hey, SJP can pull off both looks as wonderfully as the next. With the dark look, she adds a pop of color with Fall 2010 Kasia black and turquoise airbrushed platform sandals.
Which look do you like better: Valentino or Elie Saab?
There is something extremely amazing about Kim Cattrall. Yes, she is extremely beautiful, but it is the self-confidence she exudes that I find to be most amazing.
This self-confidence was seen last night during the Sex and the City 2 premiere in NYC. Kim was glowing in her Naeem Khan gold sleeveless V-front and back empire waist gown. The gold gown played off of her fair skin and blond up-do perfectly. Kim added a pop of color with her bright red lipstick. It’s hard to notice her look without also noticing her Kimberly McDonald jewelery. What a fabulous look!
Frankly, I don’t really care what Jason Lewis wore to last night’s premiere of Sex and the City 2, I’m just glad I get to see some great pictures of him. I realize that we try and identify what celebs wear here, but I’d much rather focus on how drool-worthy he is.
Jason is one of my favorite men of Sex and the City. Of course I have a soft spot for Aiden, so as you can imagine I cannot wait to see what unfolds with him and Carrie when they run into one another out in the desert. But, I’ll have to wait.
Either way, Jason looks fabulous on the red carpet. His suit is svelte and the way he has his hair sleeked back is perfect for his overall look.
Somehow, some way, Kristin Davis has managed to not age a single day since Sex and the City started a decade ago (wow, has it really been that long?) I’m not sure if she sold her soul to the devil or what, but whatever she’s doing, it’s working. She always looks radiant and put together, not to mention that she’s an expert at dressing for her figure.
The vintage Jean Desses silk chiffon gown that she chose for the New York City premiere of Sex and the City 2 is absolutely stunning on her. Not only does she do an admirable job of pulling off such a, uh, bold color choice, but the draping and ruching outline the contours of her body perfectly without being at all vulgar. Fred Leighton jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch and (of course> Christian Louboutin heels complete the ensemble.
Ladies and gents, let me get something off of my chest: I cannot wait to see Sex and the City 2. I have been an avid Sex and the City follower since splurging during my college years and convincing my roomies to help pay for HBO, at least when a new season of SATC was on. So, all of this being said, I am counting down the minutes until I get to head to the theater and check out the movie and the fashion all for myself.
Everything kicked off this week with the Sex and the City 2 premiere last night at Radio Music Hall in NYC. The leading lady, Sarah Jessica Parker opted for a gorgeous, bright and flowing Valentino Spring 2010 yellow chiffon gown. I absolutely love this gown. You might be able to notice that SJP lightened her hair a bit which also looks amazing against her bronze skin. The entire look was paired with Salvatore Ferragamo double platform pumps. The color of these shoes is great, but I wish they were a little more whimsical.
