The character Miranda, on Sex and the City has had the most drastic change from beginning to end of the entire series. For those of you who know (or may not know) during the first few seasons she looked a little, ummm, rough around the edges. Somehow, some way, Kristin Davis has managed to not age a single day since Sex and the City started a decade ago (wow, has it really been that long?) I can’t even comprehend the thought of having access to a wardrobe as amazing and stylish as that of Sarah Jessica Parker. Not everyone loves her outfits, but I almost always think that she looks flawless an unique when she shows up on the red carpet. Sigh, I don’t know how I feel about this. Miley Cyrus has a few cameos on Sex and the City II. Why, I have no idea. If you read this site often, you know that I am not a fan of Miley Cyrus and the way that she is dressing years older than she really is. I’m a Sex and the City obsessive, and when I’m honest with myself, even I didn’t love the first SATC movie all that much (I thought the consumerism was too shlocky – the whole thing about girl coming to NYC looking for “brands?” WTF?), so I was a bit dismayed when I first heard that they were making another one. I thought, why take something that had a lovely, safe place in the annals of pop culture and beat it into the ground for every cent it’s worth? [...]
Once again, a Sex and the City character carrying the same bag we’ve already seen her carry earlier. I remember hearing that there aren’t as many wardrobe changes during this movie as much as the first one. In part, this has to do with the current state of the economy, but I am sure that there will be a plethora of amazing looks to check out.
