But she always looks fresh and age-appropriate when I see pictures of her, and these are no exception. I kind of love the small flowered dress/huge chunky sweater dichotomy, and I TOTALLY love her Botkier Morgan Satchel, which is part of a line that I really wish Botkier would consider reintroducing. It has fringe but it’s not too fringe-y, and the bag looks nicely worn in and totally functional. So hey, Vanessa, find some more work so that I can write about you more.

I know that the gorgeous purple dress is made by a brand called Plastic Island and that I want one very badly, but of course cannot find one. I also know that her sandals are made by Report Signature, a brand that can be found via Zappos.

But what I don’t know is the one thing that I’m really supposed to know: who made her handbag. So if you can enlighten me, do so in the comments.

But now I see the difference, besides the fact that Gabriella is in love with Troy Bolton and Vanessa is in love with Zac Efron (you can see where I got befuddled- both are equally beautiful). Vanessa’s style has this great boho slash soft rock sensibility; case in point- the cool Wildfox Light Feather Raglan Tee she’s wearing here and the Cole Haan Cross-Body Bag she’s been spotted wearing recently.

But the bag she’s wearing in these photos, the supple Givenchy Medium Maxi Nightingale, shows the versatility in Vanessa’s wardrobe because, my goodness, can she dress in such a sophisticated manner at times. Has anyone checked out all those suede ankle booties she’s worn? Genius.

One any given day, if you were to ask me if a brown bag could be worn formally, I would have said no without giving it a second thought. Brown just isn’t a formal-even color, particularly in accessories, and it’s most often found in slouchy bags that would look great with some broken-in jeans.

Vanessa Hudges proved me entirely wrong, though, by wear a chic reddish-brown Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Box Clutch to the MTV Movie Awards recently. Well, at least we think that’s what it is – when it comes to tiny clutches with very simple, clean designs, it’s really hard to identify them with 100% certainty. The gown that Ms. Hudgens wore was a beautiful color that also provides a bit of a problem when trying to pick accessory colors, and I think this brown bag was a great and unexpected choice. And while I was at it, I threw some pictures of Zach Efron in, because, hey, why not?

She recycles her favorite accessories. . . maybe she needs to forego those eco-unfriendly plastic shopping bags? And here’s a question, I’m not trying to stir the pot, but how long do you think her and Zac Efron will last? They seem super happy and super in love… no? Personally, I think they are a super cute couple. You go girl!
